I stayed here from August 28th to 31st. A week ago, I suddenly decided to plan a trip to Karuizawa and booked this guesthouse on Agoda, and it exceeded my expectations. The exterior walls were my favorite deep blue color, and the interior was lined with many decorative items. The first floor is very spacious with a sofa and a wooden table by the window, and there is also a bath on the first floor. There are guest rooms and a reading room on the second floor, and it was a very comfortable and relaxing space overall. You will be given two keys, one for your room and one for your personal locker, which you must return when you leave. The guest room has two bunk beds, each with an electrical outlet and a small night light. You can also purchase postcards here and have them mailed to you. The owner couple was very kind and introduced us to nearby tourist spots and a delicious soba restaurant (Kagimotoya). I have always loved guest houses where I can interact with travelers and owners from various backgrounds, and this stay deepened that feeling even further.

This guesthouse was really clean and a cozy place. The interior is decorated with books and pictures, creating a calm atmosphere. Thanks to you, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. The bed in the room was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. In the morning, you can hear the clear sounds of birds, giving you a pleasant start to the day. I felt like I was in nature and felt refreshed. The coffee and sandwiches provided for breakfast were exceptionally delicious and made waking up even more wonderful in the morning. You can also rent bicycles, so you can freely stroll around and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Karuizawa. Exploring by bike was a very enjoyable experience.

Beautiful guesthouse run by a lovely couple! Breakfast was tasty and rooms were clean. The location is a bit of a walk from the train station but there’s a number of buses nearby!

I think it's a wonderful guest house with stylish dining, delicious BLT toast, and a kind owner. The fact that they respond to reviews one after another shows their sincerity. The dormitory facilities are old, so I felt that they could be made more comfortable by making some improvements. There were some things that were difficult to understand for the first time. I would appreciate it if you could consider the following.・I was out and the front door was locked, so I can't go inside. I was at a loss as to what to do outside. I would like to see measures such as an intercom so that I can call you.・I would like it to be posted not only in leaflets but also in easy-to-understand places (even in the tea room) about the dining room lights out time of 23:00.・I would appreciate it if you could also post an explanation of how to make your own bed in the hallway. In the dark dormitory, I couldn't really make out its existence. I hesitate to turn on the lights in the room if other people are sleeping.・Is there anything I can do to reduce the squeaky sound of the bed?・There was a large gap between the bed and the wall, and I was worried that small items might fall onto someone sleeping below. I was worried that when I turned on the bed light, the light seemed to go all the way to the bottom bunk.・I imagine there is less creaking noise in the lower bunk, and the gap between the bed and the wall is not a concern, but it would be the worst if there was someone indiscreet in the upper bunk.In the dormitory, it depends on your luck as to who you will be sharing a room with. Although we had some troubles this time, we had a fun time despite them. thank you very much.
