I booked this place thinking it was cheap. When I actually stayed there, I found out that they charge additional fees, such as 100 yen for a small towel and 500 yen for throwing away trash, using SDGs as a shield.Additionally, the check-in location is over 1km away from where we were staying, which at first glance seems like unrelated facilities.I thought I should have looked into it a little more before making a reservation. I should have looked at the reviews on Google...I had booked a reservation for a different day, so even though I was able to walk in on the same day, I was charged a 92% cancellation fee even though it was a month in advance...On the day, it was 10,000 yen per night for two adults. I know the 1 hour late fee, but the amount is unclear.I learned the lesson of researching things properly. Business hotels were 100 times more expensive.Lost money buying cheap items.

I previously made a reservation for a trip to Numazu, but I canceled the reservation because the government often told me to refrain from traveling due to the Nankai Trough, and I was charged 92% (of the accommodation fee) as a cancellation fee. I'm sorry, but this...

I made a reservation, but I can't say it was good at all. I don't know the location, so even if you call, I'll just ask you to check your email. Basically, phone calls are handled by bots.It was not written at the time of reservation that it would be 2,000 yen per hour after 21:00. I feel like I've been scammed. I will never go there

It's good because you can stay cheap and comfortably!minimum necessary services. Although the bath and toilet are shared, they are super clean. The accommodation is a private house, so you can relax.

As for the response here, I don't recommend it unless you really have a hard time finding a place to stay or want to keep your accommodation costs low 💧I think it's true to the many negative reviews.

During our trip to Japan, we decided to take a break from the usual tourist spots and immerse ourselves in everyday Japanese life. That's when we came across the Ikyuuan hostel in Numazu town, where we planned to spend a night. This hostel allowed us to explore the local restaurants and appreciate the beautiful scenery in the area.Ikyuuan Hostel offered comfortable stay hostel amenities that catered to our basic needs. The air conditioning was undoubtedly a relief, especially during the warm days. The shared kitchen and toilets were convenient and well-maintained, allowing us to prepare our meals and use the facilities without any use. It was a nice touch to have a TV in both the kitchen and the room, giving us some entertainment options during our downtime. The beds at Ikyuuan were bunk beds with clean sheets, ensuring a decent level of comfort for a good night's sleep. The traditional seating and tatami mats added a touch of authenticity to the overall experience, immersing us in Japanese culture and providing a unique ambiance. However, there were a few aspects that we found slightly peculiar during our stay. Firstly, we noticed a lack of bare cooking essentials such as sugar, salt, and oil. This made it challenging for us to prepare our meals, as these items are typically expected to be available in a shared kitchen. It would have been more convenient if these essentials were provided, as it would have allowed guests more flexibility in their cooking options.Additionally, we found that many amenities, including towels, toothbrushes, and even water, came with extra charges. While we understand the hostel's desire to gain additional revenue, it felt inconvenient for these items to be priced separately. It would have been more guest-friendly if some of these necessities were included as complimentary, as it would have added value to the overall experience and created a more welcoming atmosphere. The Ikyuuan hostel in Numazu town offers a decent place to stay, allowing guests to experience everyday Japanese life and explore the local area. The air conditioning shared kitchen and toilets, and comfortable bunk beds with clean sheets contributed to a satisfactory stay. The traditional seating and tatami mats added to the charm of the hostel. However, the absence of essential cooking ingredients and the additional charges for amenities like towels and toothbrushes felt slightly inconvenient. Nonetheless, Ikkyuan provides a reasonable option for budget travelers looking for a simple and authentic accommodation experience in Japan.
