I used it to swim at Hirizo Beach in September 2023 (unfortunately the flight was canceled on that day). There are very few guesthouses in Nakagi where one person can stay, and this is one of the few inns where even one person can stay.

I wonder if the name has changed from Pension Takemaru? It is said to be the furthest (?) inn from the boat pier. Other than that, it was good. It's more of a pension than a guesthouse.I was worried because I didn't have any information, but the food was delicious and the landlady and her daughter... They were refreshing and nice people.The room is simple, but it's nice to have a balcony where you can hang your swimsuits to dry. There was even wifi which I wasn't expecting.There are two baths, one small and one large. I put it in when the door is unlocked.They offer barley tea, coffee and tea at mealtimes, and overall it's a good accommodation.The only thing is that the landlady seems to be a smoker and sometimes smells like cigarettes...Please be patient when there are customers.

Resort Inn Takemaru's web page link is broken, so I will provide an overview (as of 2022)7500 yen/person, 2 meals includedAdditional charge for sashimi (price negotiable 4-5000 yen). As mentioned in other reviews, the rice was plentiful and delicious.Beer, soft drinks (charged), and barley tea (free) are available in the refrigerated shelves in the dining room.Dining room, bath, washroom, and toilet on the 1st floorIt was clean with 6 rooms of 8 tatami mats on the 2nd floor, washbasin and toilet shared by men and women.There are two shared baths, large and small.There were no towels when I stayed there.(Perhaps they will prepare it if you tell them)There is a hair dryer.WiFi available.The password is handwritten and difficult to understand, butAll lowercase letters (I had a hard time being fooled by the spelling that looked like uppercase letters)The balcony is spacious, with a clothesline, clothespins, and a water faucet. Swimsuits and life jackets can be washed and dried.They will also let you use the washing machine (detergent will be charged).Check-in 14:00Check out 10amParking lot for 6 cars +αIf you are going to Hirizo Beach, you can use the parking lot from the morning of your stay (please contact us by phone in advance).10 minutes walk to the ferry terminal to Hirizo Beach.The wife has a kind and friendly personality and is a dependable mother.Reservations can be made by phone.

There are two baths, which are spacious and comfortable, and the shower has good water pressure.Bath towels are also provided.The washroom is also clean and spacious.There is also a washing machine.The meals are plentiful, including fresh sashimi.There's no one who doesn't have enough to eat.The people at the hostel are warm and it feels like you are visiting a relative's house.Wi-Fi is also available.

The food is delicious and the place is homely, making it a very comfortable place to stay!I don't recommend it for people who don't like staying in guesthouses, but if you want to play in Hirizo, this is the place!

You can walk to the ferry terminal at Hirizo Beach.It's cheap and if you stay one night, you can park your car and use the bath the next day after swimming at the beach.
