A no fuss great value stay with ample room size. No lifts and there was a large resident spider in the room when we were there (it was just up on the Aircon and ceiling) which helps to guard against pests.

It is located on the road along the coast from Kawazu to Shimoda. The room has a slightly retro feel, but is kept clean. Before it became the hotel it is today, it was a so-called hotel for couples, so the bathroom was quite spacious, but now that you can stay alone, it's really nice to have a bath in your room where you can fill up with hot water and stretch your legs. Best for. The bed is spacious and comfortable as you can have the double bed all to yourself. The sea view from the window is also spectacular. It's also nice that check-out is late at 12:00.There are no restaurants nearby, so you'll need to buy food in the city center of Kawazu or Shimoda.Honestly, it's so comfortable that I want to go every month.

Alice no Heya-san is a family hotel for rooms without meals, located about 8 minutes by taxi (approximately 1,200 yen) from Kawazu Station on the Izukyu Line. A hotel located right in front of Izoo, an interactive zoo specializing in reptiles. The room is large and the bath is also large. Room 201 where I stayedI could see the sea from there.Looking at the travel notes in the room, it seems that there are many customers who came to go fishing at izoo. I stayed there during the Kawazu cherry blossom season in February. Other nearby accommodations were good, but I was able to get it here. There is a local bus that takes you to the inn (there is a bus stop in front of the inn), but it only runs about 3 times a day, so it's best to take a taxi or walk. I walked from my hotel to Kawazu Station, but it took me about 20 minutes to get there, probably because it was downhill. The inn is a room only, so it's a good idea to eat around Kawazu Station or buy something at a convenience store before heading to the inn. There is a microwave available at the inn, which must be reserved.

I used public transportation and iZoo was the purpose of my trip, so I used it because it was conveniently located right in front of iZoo. There are no restaurants or convenience stores in the area, so I think it would be a good idea to stock up on groceries at the convenience store and two supermarkets near Kawazu Station before heading to the hotel. There is a microwave in the lobby that you can use freely. Also, although the frequency is small, there is a route bus from Kawazu Station to the hotel (Shobuzawa bus stop) at 8:00, 17:00, and 18:00. There is one bus from the hotel (Shobuzawa bus stop) to Kawazu Station at 7:00, 8:00, and 11:00.Our room was on the second floor, so we could see the ocean from both the room and the bath.

I stayed at various hotels in this area during my business trip, but this was the best considering the price and the comfort of the room. While many other accommodations have small Japanese-style rooms, this one was a spacious and comfortable Western-style room for 5,450 yen.
