We couldn‘t have hoped for a better stay and a warmer welcome in hotel Suzumeya when we arrived in Tokyo. Our room was beautiful and perfectly equiped, the breakfast was delicious and the hotel is located in a perfect spot to explore the city while having a calm place to return to.Another highlight was one of the tours offered by the hotels staff which offered a unique perspective on tsukiji, tea-culture and was overall very fun.The whole team was very kind and made us feel at home in a new place. Thank you! We would love to come back.

Old House is the embodiment of a hidden gem. Stashed in an alley in the middle of Ginza, you really feel that you are getting an authentic experience while being in the city.The Japanese style breakfast was delicious and the staff did a great job explaining it to me. A skip and a hop away from the Tsukiji fish market, the ingredients for the breakfast are sourced each morning so make sure you let them know the day before that you want the Japanese style breakfast.The atmosphere of the house is unmatched and the staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. This was the best experience I’ve had at a hotel. I could not possibly recommend this place more. I will always stay at Old House when visiting Japan.

This was my first time visiting Japan and using AirBnB. All the hosts were friendly, welcoming, and instilled confidence in me to stay at an AirBnb. Check-in was quick so I was able to settle down after a long flight. The rooms are cozy, minimalist and relaxing to sit and wind down after a long day. The bathrooms are very clean and functioned perfectly. I am not used to humidity so the complimentary fabric spray provided in the room was convenient and appreciated as I sweated non-stop during the day. The breakfast they provided was amazing. I had the pleasure of breakfast being cooked by each of the hosts (to stay in all their good graces =) they all had their own unique approach and they were equally delicious). The location is convenient if you are looking for shopping at Ginza, nearby subway lines, and restaurants. It is right near the Tsukiji fish market as well. Catching views at the Kachidoki Bridge is just a few minutes away. My entire experience is an A. I will be back here!

On my last night in Tokyo, staying at Suzumeya turned out to be an excellent choice. The staff were friendly, and the attic room was both tidy and clean, leaving a lasting impression. The Soba at the pink food court and the sushi at Sushidai were fantastic—thanks for the great recommendations! The journey from Higashiginza to Narita Airport by regular train took about 2.5 hours. I would have preferred a suggestion to take a bus instead, as I later discovered a 1300 yen bus service from Ginza back to Narita Aiport. It would have been more convenient if there had been a hanger near the toilet and shower. The tea was delicious, but the cup was a bit thin and too hot to handle initially. I look forward to staying at Suzumeya again when I return to Tokyo.

Lovely spot, tucked away in Tsukiji near fish market and very unique. Small space but impeccably done with warm helpful service, tasty cafe and thoughtful touches. Would be wary of steep stairs for upper rooms for folks in their later years. Overall would recommend!

What a wonderful little place to cap our trip to Japan! It's a small cozy boutique hotel. But don't let the words "small" or cozy" fool you, it was excellent! The attention to detail in the rooms, the cleanliness, the service, everything was great. We really felt like we were inside a turn of the century home in Tokyo. Add to that the great service and the wonderful breakfast! What more can we ask for?

This was our favorite stay of our whole trip in Japan! The room was beautiful with a VERY comfy bed and the breakfast served was the best breakfast we had. I HIGHLY recommend trying both the Japanese and Western style breakfasts. Far and away though it was the people who made the stay incredible. Both the inn keepers were incredibly kind and helpful and that made it the perfect end to our Japan trip. I cannot recommend this place enough! It is traditional living but in the heart of Tokyo which is very rare to find!

I cannot give high enough praise for this stay.My partner and I stayed 1 night to cap our trip in Japan and absolutely loved it. Beautiful and comfortable space; warm, wonderful and accommodating staff; and a great location. Do yourself a favour and also order the breakfast which is homemade, it’s fantastic.We will definitely be returning here in our next trip to Tokyo!
