I have used it twice, around the end of 2023 and in the summer of 2024! The whole family and the owner are so kind and loving! I also see the owner going out to clean the ocean, and I feel that he takes good care of it. I wish the door in the middle room of the bungalow would be fixed soon (lol), but I really like the bungalow, where you can enjoy BBQ while staying warm in the winter and cool in the summer! ! I also appreciated the use of the trolley, and I felt it would be nice to have a slope on the toilet side instead of stairs to carry my luggage. The lights are on at night, so your feet are safe. I would be happy if I could make a reservation this year too! !

Very beautiful location. Very cheap compared to other beach houses. Rooms are decent, has shower and toilet facilities outside the room (shared). Service is excellent.

Beautiful accommodation literally in front of the beach! The staff is very friendly and they help you with everything you need (:The place is wonderful, very quiet and with everything you need to disconnect and rest for a few days. They have grills for rent to have a barbecue and vending machines that provide you with meat and drinks, the nearby supermarkets are located at the Kawazu station which is about 10 blocks away, it is not far but it can be tedious to go constantly, it is recommended to buy provisions in quantity so as not to be going all the time

Weekday visit in 2024I visited last year just for the barbecue, and it was so good that I decided to use it again this year.If there is space, you can use it on the day, but it is better to make a reservation at least one day in advance.(Even if you use a barbecue, there will be a cancellation fee if you cancel less than 7 days in advance.)A new charger for electric cars has been installed in the parking lot, indicating that they have invested in equipment.Last year, the transportation equipment that was broken was fixed, which was a relief.I personally don't often use facilities like this, so I can't say anything definitively, but I don't think there are many BBQ places with such a beautiful view (ocean view) and such facilities (kitchen, etc.).The barbecue area has a roof, so you can grill without any problems even in bad weather. There are clean restrooms, separate garbage containers, vending machines where you can purchase beer and additional meat, and power outlets are available nearby. There is a kitchen a little further down, where you can use a variety of utensils. There is an ice machine in the kitchen, so you can use as much ice as you like.It is necessary to purchase ingredients in advance, but there are two supermarkets in front of Kawazu Station, Maxvalu is open from 6:00 to 23:30, and there is also a drug store that is open until midnight. There is a Daiso in the Inatori area where you can purchase BBQ supplies at low prices. The manager is from Nepal, but his Japanese is fine.It was impressive to see that my two colleagues were from the same country and were having fun chatting with each other.

I used the bungalow the other day. There is a beach nearby where you can enjoy swimming and marine sports. You can also set up a tent or have a barbecue at the inn. There is a fairly substantial kitchen space. There are no tent rentals. There is nothing you can do inside the bungalow except sleep. The sunsets and sunrises you can see here are the best. You can see many stars at night.

This place is a total steal for the price. Beautiful location, great amenities, and the accommodation boasts a full commercial kitchen available for guest use (but I feel that won't last long because it was such a treat!) It is honestly the best kitchen we have used in 13 months of travelling in central and south America, through India, Nepal, Indonesia and Malaysia. It is an absolute beaut, you will feel like a chef!It is located 8 minutes walk from Kawazu station, or 10 minutes from the next one over if coming from Shimoda on the train. There are excellent groceries available in Kawazu for you to cook if that is what you are into, or you can grill at your beach house/bungalow with meat available from the vending machine. The C50 bus will take you to the Seven waterfalls walk, which is absolutely worth it. It costs roughly 1,500 yen per person roundtrip. I'd recommend finishing with the onsen at Amagiso, at the last (#7) Odaru falls -1,000 yen per person if you have your own bathing suit and towel. The kind people at the bus station at Kawazu will direct you to take the bus past the actual parking lot for the falls, which is good advice. You will then walk down the entirety of the waterfalls, and have the option of finishing at the onsen if you choose (if you have read the reviews of people complaining about the stairs, this avoids almost all of that). All in all, Beach House Blue Moon was better than staying in Shimoda, we ought to have just stayed here for a much better price and taken the train to Shimoda. Beautiful spot on the beach, great hosts, lovely sundown and ocean sounds, and regret having to leave!

This was my first time using it. The staff was also very kind and nice. You can choose from three options: a bungalow, a cottage, or pitch your own tent. We stayed in a cottage with a shower and toilet. I found out later that there are three cottages, A, B, and C to choose from. Buildings B and C are closer to the sea, and building A is in front of them. This time I stayed in Building A, but next time I wanted to stay in the building facing the sea. The plan is to stay without meals, but you can borrow a barbecue set, so there is a supermarket nearby (AOKI, 7.8 minutes away by car).At night, the cottage has a terrace where you can have a barbecue. Parents and children alike enjoyed the barbecue while listening to the sound of the waves and looking at the starry sky.I woke up early in the morning and went for a walk with my kids at the nearby beach. If you walk along the coast for about 10 minutes, you will be connected to the beach in Kawazu, and it is a sandy beach in the summer, so it might be nice to swim.As a side note, there is a parking lot across the road, and Blue Moon is under the cliff on the other side. There was a lot of traffic on that road, and there was a curve in the front, so it was difficult to cross at the right time, so please be careful if you have small children or elderly people. Immediately after crossing the road, you have to go down the stairs on the cliff path, which was very convenient as there is a trolley to carry your luggage. People and animals are not allowed to ride, so don't worry. I hope this will be helpful to future visitors.

In short, it was a cottage with good value for money. The cottage room had simple facilities such as a bunk bed, a small refrigerator, and an air conditioner, but outside the room was a private beach where you could enjoy a bonfire or BBQ with chairs placed right in front of the room. Masu.It was a place I would like to visit again.
