This is probably the only accommodation on Hateruma Island that can be called a hotel.The room is clean with hardwood floors and has a bathtub.It was clean and beautiful.It's in a great location, with a post office, store, and pub within walking distance.You can also use the rooftop at night, so I took pictures of the starry sky as you can see in the photo, and it was really beautiful.It was also helpful that there was a shuttle to and from the port.Unlike a guesthouse or dormitory, I only met other guests in the shuttle car, so it was a comfortable hotel.

I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. The room was clean, the air conditioner was comfortable, and the plumbing was sparkling clean. Very Good! Breakfast is of sufficient quality and quantity. I had a comfortable stay at the southernmost tip.

I didn’t stay in this hotel. However, when visiting Hateruma, I lost my wallet, but only realised once we were already on ferry back to Ishigaki. Fortunately I had an air tag in it and could see it was at or near this hotel. We called and the front desk person was the kindest and most helpful person ever. She personally called every room to check if they’d found a wallet, and sure enough one person had. She called me back immediately and gave it to the police, eventually managing to get my wallet back.When I will invariably come back to Hateruma, I will make sure to come to this hotel given this exceptional kindness and serviceThank you so much.

As the cars of each accommodation were picking us up at the port, the drivers of other accommodations were waiting in front of the car with a piece of paper with the name of the accommodation, but Oceans was the only one sitting in the back of the car. At first, we were confused as to which car it was, so we were surprised at how they responded.My unfriendly older sister didn't even help me put my luggage in the trunk.I don't even say hello in the car.I don't know if it was my part-time job or my daughter, but it didn't feel good.The hotel itself is kept clean.It was beautiful, but since everyone came from far away to Hateruma Island, I think it would be better to study a little more about the hospitality industry.The lady who dropped me off on my way home had a smile and was very pleasant.

The atmosphere of this hotel is very similar to a guesthouse (in a good way). The room has a bathroom and can be locked. You can use the air conditioner as much as you want. When making a reservation, you will be asked if you need a rental car or bike. I also appreciate that there is a communal store nearby.

A hotel-style accommodation with business hotel-level facilities in Hateruma, where many people stay overnight without meals.It's in the middle of the island, with shops and restaurants within walking distance, making it a great location.You can also rent bicycles, which is very convenient.

Accommodation facility named as the only hotel on the islandWhen I visited Hateruma Island about 20 years ago, there were no facilities called hotels yet.There are no keys for each room, and the bath and toilet are of course shared.When it was crowded, we even had to share a room, and I miss the yuntaku that started naturally.However, I personally prefer not to share a shared room... if possible, I would prefer not to share a bath and toilet. . .So, we decided to stay at Ocean, which is the only hotel on Hateruma Island.It gets quite popular during the season, so make sure to make reservations early.By the way, breakfast is included here, but dinner is not included.Therefore, the only option is to make a reservation at a restaurant in advance, or to purchase at a collective purchasing office (open until around 8:30 p.m.) located in the center of the village.Of course, there are no convenience stores on the island, and there are no supermarkets.This joint purchasing place is the only place where you can procure ingredients, but they can sell out quickly, or if the sea is rough, there may be a shortage of supplies, so when staying on Hateruma Island, be sure to check out the restaurants. I think it's best to definitely make a reservation.Now, this Hotel Oceans.A type with a unit bath in the room.This is already the best.There are no insects (←This is important).There's no need to pay 100 yen for air conditioning and have to pay by the hour (←This is even more important).It's quite different from a guesthouse.Although it doesn't have much emotion, it is recommended for those who are concerned about the plumbing.Since Hateruma Island is not self-sufficient, it relies on importing most of its ingredients from Ishigaki Island.Therefore, the breakfast doesn't have a typical island feel, and is similar to a typical business hotel breakfast, so to be honest, you shouldn't expect much from the food. . . I think so.However, it's a really clean environment, so that's a plus.

Visited during the New Year holidays. A person from the hotel came to pick us up at the port.The hotel room was beautiful and clean. Coffee is always available for you to drink. There is also a washing machine.Since it was the year-end and New Year holidays, the surrounding restaurants were closed, so I went and bought some cup ramen. However, the hotel staff kindly prepared soba and rice for us. It was really delicious. I was so happy to be able to eat Toshikoshi soba, and I could only feel grateful for their kindness. The people on the island are kind.They also gave me a ride to see the sunrise, which was very helpful.I was able to rent a bicycle and was able to walk around Nishihama, feel the wind, and see cows and goats, which was fun. It was a very nice island.Next time, I would like to go for consecutive nights in the spring.The hotel staff was kind and I would like to stay there again. And the island where time passes slowly was the best.

Even though it is the southernmost island, the customer service is zero, there is no friendliness, and it is expensive.I thought it was the same as others, but it was not like that, so let's look elsewhere!

Thank you for staying with us for 2 nights in late November.I'm grateful that my room has a toilet and bath on a remote island. She also cleans my room.There is a sink and a clothes line on the balcony, so I was able to wash and dry my wet suit.We have rental cars, rental bikes, and bicycles, so you can get around the island all from here.You can also go up to the rooftop, so if the weather is nice, you can see the stars.Breakfast included only.

I came to the island for work. Unlike a guesthouse, it was quiet and private. Best of all, I was able to take a bath and sleep undisturbed at my own pace.

Stayed during the summer. Although the inn is very clean, geckos and insects inevitably appear. It was a reasonable price, including breakfast, dinner (which doesn't seem to be available anymore), and electric bicycles. The owner's family and staff were all very friendly. The customer base wasn't my type, so next time I'd like to stay a little longer during the off-season. If you are looking for excessive customer service, service, and cleanliness that ignore the island's circumstances, please stop at Ishigaki.

I visited for work.The building itself is quite old, but the rooms, including the unit bath, were clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, there was no mirror in the room.Breakfast was the only meal available, but it was delicious Japanese food.The quiet owner and the staff (family) who look like Hikari Mitsushima will be kind to you.

Although it's been a long time since it was built, the rooms were clean and the staff made you feel at home, making it easy to spend time there.There is also an environment where you can observe the starry sky from the third floor rooftop. The price is also within an acceptable range. However, we are not currently offering dinner service. There are also shops and izakaya nearby, but if you are thinking of using an izakaya, we recommend making a reservation early. If you are unable to do so, we recommend purchasing dinner and lunch boxes at the shop. Rental car parking is available at the back. Note: The parking space and door (entrance) on the left side of the building are for the exclusive use of the owner's residence. Don't make a mistake! (lol)

The room is clean and breakfast is served.It's a little bright at night, but you can see the stars on the rooftop.There was a charge for the washing machine for 300 yen.However, I might be lucky to be able to make a reservation since they don't answer the phone very often.

It’s the best in Hateruma👍The staff are kind and it feels like home 😆Both the room and the dining room are clean 👍There is also a bath, and the air conditioner is not coin-operated, so you can feel refreshed after returning from the sea 👍

I was looking for a place to stay on Hateruma Island, but every place was fully booked and I had to call everyone.The hotel was finally empty.A car will pick you up from the port.The rooms are as comfortable as a business hotel. They also rent out electric bicycles, which was quite useful.You can also go up to the rooftop, so if the weather is nice, you should be able to see a beautiful starry sky. lolThere is a laundry on the second floor, which is great for those staying multiple nights.I had completely forgotten that breakfast was included, but they were kind enough to serve it even after the scheduled time.This time I stayed for one night, but I wanted to stay for more than one night. But I'm glad I came.

My first visit to Hateruma for two days and one night.It is a small hotel that is well-maintained and has a clean feel.The room and unit bath were clean.Bed making is also very clean.I had a great time.We also have the minimum amenities.There is also a washing machine and dryer.There are also hangers in the room, which is helpful.Free entry and exit early in the morning and at nightI enjoyed the freedom of not being interfered with.I don't understand the surrounding roads until I get used to them.Consult with the staffThey gave me a cute hand-drawn map of the surrounding area.He kindly taught us detailed information about the island.When the owner talks tooShe seemed to be playful and cute.The rooftop is open to the public, so it was great to lie down and watch the starry sky and shooting stars at night.I would like to stay again next time!
