I learned about this place when I happened to pick up the traveler's inn information magazine ``FREEE'' at a now-defunct unmanned station in Hokkaido.Since then, I've been going once a year for about 20 years, but...well, things always come to an end, so I can't help but feel lonely...For now, I would like to say thank you for the good memories.

According to rumors...the small building will be closed in January of this year...“Sayonara Yuki no Kosha” is a really sad title...The first time I visited Oyuki's first hut (a different place from the current one) when she was single, wasIt was June 1980...It went on for a long time...I want to hear your voice...I called you for the first time in a while to find out about the situation and the current situation...It seems that it has been determined that business as usual is impossible...Right now, I just want to thank you for your kindness.I wish you both good health 🙏I keep it carefullyI have attached a portion of "Yuki no Kosha Tsushin" No. 23 and No. 63.2024.3.2――――――――――――――In the bookshelf of the small building,I was happy to see the renku/haiku/seasonal word dictionary ``Jushichiki'' (Sanseido) that I gave them. The old “Yuki no Kosha” era…June 1981 (Showa 56), thenSince my first stay at Nishi-Towada YH in Kuroishi City, Aomori Prefecture, through an introduction by Parent T.2014 (Heisei 26) Autumn consecutive stay...I had some good memories.Among them,Mt. Mokkodake, a solitary mountain I climbed in boots on a mountain trail covered in fresh snow...The 360-degree view of the autumn leaves from the top of the mountain was truly spectacular.(10th and 21st, 1999... With Mr. Oyuki as our guide, and Mr. F and the three of us chatting, let's go to Mt. Hodake!💦...Only this time I went by car instead of by bike... 🙂)Also, it was a fun time to read over and over again the handwritten ``Yuki no Kosha Newsletter'' that was sent to me four times a year, and it reminded me of Hachimantai. Even if I couldn't go, Shiki no Kosha was always close by...by the way,In Tsushin No. 23, there was an article written about the time when you climbed Mt. Hakudake...😃Memories of that nostalgic day...I still carefully preserve it. (I'm sure there are postcard communications from before that somewhere...)Check out the photos posted recently...You can clearly see the current state of the hut surrounded by beautiful flowers. When you are far away, you feel nostalgic for the time you spent surrounded by the good atmosphere and the place.and,No matter how many years pass, I will never forget the people I met there...2023.8.10😈

Enter the Aspite Line from Matsuo-Hachimantai.Turn left at the end of the road and walk along the gravel road for about 400m.You will see Yuki's small hut.Go to the right of the arrow, but this road is downhill with large stones, and after rain it is about 10m, but it is on the right. There is no problem with Ogawa trail bikes, but please ride the SS carefully.

A quiet and refreshing paradise in the mountains. Even though it was summer, the mornings and evenings were cool and it was a beautiful place that washed my soul.
