TLDR: It fails to live up to expectations. While the gym is decent, the rest of the hotel experience is marred by slow breakfast resupply, bad room design, poor noise control, and overpriced services. The staff, except for one member of the kitchen staff who harassed my group, is serviceable. Additionally, the presence of disruptive tourists adds to the unpleasant atmosphere. Avoid this hotel.Full version: This hotel falls short of expectations and leaves a bitter taste in one's mouth. While it functions decently as a gym, the rest of the hotel experience is riddled with numerous drawbacks and one major issue that cannot be overlooked.The breakfast buffet offers a decent variety, with pastries, beverages, and heartier options available daily. However, the resupply of the buffet can be slow, leading to inconsistent food quality, with some items being undercooked or badly seasoned. Additionally, there seems to be a policy limiting certain food options to children only, which was communicated in a rude manner to my group.The rooms, while adequately designed, lack certain amenities such as a microwave. The separation of toilet and shower is appreciated, but the lack of privacy due to a partially see-through glass door is a significant downside (plus the the fact that both the shower and toilet doors had gaps like a low-quality bathroom in the US). Furthermore, noise control is severely lacking, as sounds from both inside and outside the room permeate easily, disrupting any hope of a peaceful stay.The laundry service is limited and overpriced, with only one laundry room available next to the front desk. Prices at the bar and restaurant are steep, and the gym, while spacious, could have been better configured. Additionally, the lack of a water fountain in the gym is an inconvenience, despite the provision of a small water bottle per visitor per day (though it is quite insufficient for those considering serious/strenuous exercise- a single 350mL bottle).Staff service is generally acceptable, except for one glaring exception – My companions and I were subjected to continual harassment by a member of the kitchen staff. This individual, an older woman responsible for restocking the food (at the breakfast buffet), exhibited behavior that ranged from snide comments and cursing under her breath to outright screaming. While we initially attempted to overlook these behaviors, assuming that everyone has bad days, the situation escalated to physical harassment.The kitchen staff member in question has resorted to slapping our hands away, jabbing her finger at our faces and torsos, and forcibly taking utensils out of our hands. Despite our efforts to address these issues with the staff on hand, the behavior has persisted and, if anything, has worsened over time.Not only has this behavior been distressing for us personally, but it has also impacted our relationships with friends and associates. We had recommended your hotel to them, but this experience has soured our relationship with both your establishment and those we recommended to stay here.As paying customers, we expect to be treated with respect and courtesy. This extensive and continual behavior significantly detracted from our overall stay and has left a lasting negative impression.Another concern is the presence of buses of tourists, who have been observed exhibiting disruptive behavior and lack of common courtesy. This, coupled with potential discrimination from hotel staff towards East Asian guests, adds to the unpleasant atmosphere.The Oceanic Sportel is a hotel to be avoided. Its shortcomings, including noise issues, limited amenities, overpriced services, and most importantly, unacceptable behavior from staff, overshadow any positive aspects it may have. Unless you are a very heavy sleeper, unconcerned with privacy or noise, and willing to overlook the mistreatment of guests, it's best to steer clear of this establishment.I want to write more, but there is a character limit. & the game room wasn't working.---My Insta: imdanielyoon

The worst hotel I ever came across they are a big time swindler! My hubby didn't smoke inside the room as we were aware that strictly no smoking & they took pic from where we don't know & accused my hubby of smoking inside the room. They so called said that they found cigarette ashes wrapped in a tissue paper. I clarified with them when I left the hotel, the rubbish bin was full of my makeup tissue & how can they specifically find this cigarette ash wrap in the tissue their ans was the housekeeping took the tissues out one by one from the rubbish as they said the housekepping staff smelled cigarette smell in the room. My hubby had not smoked in the room. They were trying fine us $5000 bhat for something we didn't do. No proof or evidence at all that my husband smoked in the room.The front office lady named DADA was very rude & she threatened us by saying that she will call the police on us. Which hotel will ask to pay cash deposit of $1000 bhat as deposit? As per my knowledge, a hotel will hold our card details & if there is any items in the hotel room broken will charge to the card & it's a standard policy.When checking out, we came across a guest who also faced the same problem where they accused her of staining a small towel few days back & only blamed her for it after 3 days when the stain was already there beforehand and wasn't made by her. I 100% wouldn't recommend anyone to choose Oceanic Sportel as their choice of stay as the staffs/employees in that are constantly trying to swindle $ from us Singaporeans.

This is the first hotel we have booked. When we arrived in Thailand, unfortunately, the employee in charge was treating us in a way as if we wanted to steal the room, even though we had been booking the room for almost two months. She made us wait from 11:00 to 2:30. At first, she said, “Pay 500 baht for it.” Early entry to the hotel, and when we wanted to pay, she told us that there was no empty room. However, we waited despite being tired from the plane and the airport. We see that the arrivals are dealt with smoothly and given rooms without any amounts or any complications. When we asked the manager, she said why, and we are serving you appropriately. She started making excuses and saying that she did not do anything that would bother us, but rather that she served us appropriately... even though she never did that... I hope that the service will improve for the better.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for couple of reasons:1. This hotel is far away from any life. No stores nearby and absolutely no nightlife2. Their hospitality is very low. Even though we requested for early check-in while booking the hotel, they made us wait for few hrs and also charged additional for couple of hours early check-in although there rooms available.3. This is the most important point, they are looking for reasons to swindle and con guests. They will misguide you on things missing showing wrong photo. Don't fall prey to such misdeeds.I would recommend stay at Phuket town or Patong.

Nice and clean room with friendly staff.Good a la carte food for lunch and dinner (selection of breakfast is a bit limited though but it’s really cheap so not really a complaint just a fact).Good room service (with one day 5-star level exceptionally good).GREAT tennis practice offerings and gym - you would be very happy if that’s what you come for.Nevertheless, location wise, the hotel is a bit of far away from all popular touristy sites (beaches/old town/shopping malls) so need to use online hailing a lot if you don’t drive or scooter (which is significantly more expensive than everything else in Phuket). They do have good food and coffee place around and shuttle bus services to city centre at a really cheap price though.

There is an electric car charger. The tennis court is very beautiful. They also have a place to play tennis with Mr. Paradorn. Very cool. People who like to exercise will really appreciate the fitness center. The children like the swimming pool very much. Spacious room Five star standard bed The bathroom is very spacious. Nice clean hotel with decent sized rooms. Unusually I particularly enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant (which overlooked the pool) - and I’d recommend trying this if you’re staying here. Nice westernised / Singapore-used cafe opposite if that’s your thing. In my experience you’ll need to get a grab / taxi to go to the beach. Enjoyed the service also. They did put a couple with a baby in the room adjoining us when we had a flight to catch at 7:30am - which wasn’t ideal. Otherwise very enjoyable stay.

There are no services close to it and the price is high compared to others that are cheaper and much better. They do not change the mattresses constantly. Its only advantage is that it is clean and the breakfast is limited. It is not suitable for everyone. I was a little late and when I left, they fined me a large amount of money even though it was not time for the person after me to enter. They are exploitative to the greatest extent. No. I recommend it

The first thing you know is that there is no doubt that there is nothing like it. The rooms are as luxurious as they are. We got dirty with a sink and the bedsheet we discovered on the second day we came. The first day we were tired. I did not notice until the morning we walked there and went down to have a modest breakfast. The greedy people of a 5-year-old child thought she had breakfast for a whole person! The employee treated me when my son broke a blowing plate and he looked at me as annoyance to my whole day. It is a problem. We paid compensation, a plastic plate is not used, and at the time of leaving, no one will take it with you. And other than that, the location of the hotel is like Gulf and Saudi tourists. I swear to God, it is forbidden for you to spend there, and not a day is far from everything, even if it is less than one star. I would put it down.

The rooms and this hotel are very large and clean. One of the best showers I had in Phuket, and the shampoo smelled so good! Airconditioning is working really good. Super large bed! The pool and it's bar are so fun and welcome in this hot weather. Also the possibility to do laundry, very convenient. However, when we were here, there were a lot of people in the hallways until very late. Barely slept through the night. Children running and yelling at 2 in the night. Unacceptable that the staff didn't do anything about this. We couldn't even call the reception because of a phone/electricity outage. If you want to rest, then this is not the hotel for you. Our room was also one the seconds floor, above the open ceiling plan so right above the reception. Very loud. We also had to pay 500 baht extra to go in our room early. That's weird for us because if the room is ready then why should we have to pay extra?! Deposit was obligatory to be made, should be more convenient to let people know in advance. Location is an absolute miss, nothing to do or see here. Not even a scooter rental available. The hotel does arrange tours to some nearby beaches etc.

Amazing hotel! Large clean room, huge bed. There are tennis courts at the bottom of the hotel.But the staff is so stupid that with their unprofessionalism they spoil not only the impression of the hotel, but also the rest.1. Upon check-in, they required a deposit of 1000 baht. I paid through Agoda and there was no information that I should leave a deposit! I just arrived and I don’t have cash, there are no ATMs nearby either. The staff did not agree to check me in without this unfortunate 1000 baht. We could go to a meeting and take a deposit later, when I settle down with my bags and rest from the road. But they were rude.2. We were given only 1 key card for 3 people. This is very inconvenient, since everything in the room runs on it. And also an elevator.When I asked for another card, they rudely said that they didn’t have it, and then that it wasn’t allowed.PS when we were moving out we saw that the deposit was not required at all.We need a good manager to change the service. I'm taking a star off just for this.

Stayed a night here with my husband. Very nice hotel with a huge gym. A lot of activities to do here from sports to games but some of them u have to pay extra. The staff are very proactive and friendly.The room is big with a balcony. The highlight is the bed. Such a massive and comfy bed.We had a great time there. We are definitely going back again if we go Phuket.
