2023/12/16 AccommodationIt may be long, but I will write it in detail in bullet points. Please refer to this information if you are considering staying overnight.I forgot to take a photo, so this is just text.・Nearest stations are Matsushita Station or Futamiura Station (both are unmanned stations, Matsushita Station has no toilets). It takes about 10 minutes by train from Ise Station to the nearest station.・It's about a 20 minute walk from Matsushita Station, and a 30 minute walk from Futamiura Station. The route from Matsushita Station is pitch black with no streetlights or other lights, so you need to be careful if you're a single woman (there are no lights around the lodgings either) do not have). The shukubo is located in the mountains and requires climbing steep stairs and hills. This may be difficult for small children and people with disabilities.・The route from Futamiura Station will take you along the coast to Ise Sea Paradise, Meoto Iwa Rocks, Futami Okitama Shrine, etc., so it might be a good idea to walk to the station after checking out.・There are extremely few trains at Matsushita Station and Futamiura Station (about 2 trains per hour), so it is better to check the train times in advance. Also, there are no rest areas on the station platforms to protect you from the wind. There are few (or maybe none?) shops around the area. Especially in winter, you need to be careful. Since there are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, I think it would be better to buy food at the Gyutora (supermarket) or convenience store near Ise Station.・There are about 5 cats at the temple (they will welcome you). In addition, the principal image, the Senju Kannon Bodhisattva statue, is registered as a nationally designated cultural property, and you can open it and see the statue (500 yen per person).・Payment is by cash only and advance payment is required.・The rooms are large and all Japanese-style rooms have futons. Although it is made of wood, the air conditioner works well, so the room is warm even in winter (the shoji in the room I stayed in was torn, but I didn't feel any drafts). There is no humidifier.・Room amenities •••Tissues, wet tissues, mirror, hair dryer, hangers, face towels/bath towels.・The kitchen, toilet, washroom, and bathroom are shared. There is no air conditioning except in the kitchen, so it's a bit cold in winter.・Kitchen•••Equipped with electric kettle, water server, microwave, refrigerator, TV, newspaper, tea packs, instant coffee, sugar sticks, cups, plates, and chopsticks (all shared). You can't just use fire. There is a charge (about 100 yen), but there are also small snacks and amenities.・Toilet•••Two urinals for men and one Western-style toilet, shared by both men and women. Western-style toilets are simple faucet toilets. There is no washlet.・Washroom •••Cup, bar soap, pail, and mirror (all shared). There is no hot water.・Bathroom•••Large washing area/bathtub where you can take a family bath. There were 2 showers, the bathtub was large enough for 3 adults, shampoo/conditioner (Pan◯), and body soap (it lathered for a while, but it was quite watery because the contents had been refilled or water had been added). Please be careful when using cleansing agents.・Good points•••The only lodging in Mie Prefecture. You can stay in an old folk house. The surrounding area is surrounded by silence, allowing you to forget your worldly desires. You can experience the extraordinary and thrills (especially at night).
