As others have said, the slope to get there is a little steep. If you have difficulty walking, we recommend coming by car.The bathroom and washroom in the room have been renovated and are clean and comfortable to use.Until 12pm, the first floor is the women's bath and the second floor is the men's bath.I forget what time it was from 12pm to morning, but it was a time when I couldn't use the bath.In the morning, there is a men's bath on the first floor and a women's bath on the second floor.Apparently the bath on the first floor has a mist bath that makes your skin beautiful? Also, there was a bubble bath (limited to one person). The second floor has a large circular bath.Does it seem to have unusual effects other than bubble baths? Ore was also included. As for food, did the cafeteria disappear during the coronavirus pandemic? It was a lunch box. But it was nice to be able to eat slowly in my room. The room was clean too.I got to see the nostalgic rotary phone again,For some reason, a stuffed bear? There is a lotFor me, there are a lot of interesting points. It was great ☺️

My husband and I used it the other day.As already posted, it is an older hotel, but it is well-maintained, the sink and bath in the room have been renovated, and there is an air purifier, so I had a comfortable stay. For me in my 50's, there were nostalgic rotary telephones, TV stands with built-in VHS, etc. where rental AV was kept... it's so nostalgic!!The climb up to the hotel is tough, and the parking lot in front of the lobby may be limited to light or compact cars.If you drive a regular car, you might get a stomachache, so we recommend the parking lot just below.

Large rooms and reasonable prices even in high season. I was so happy that I could see the fireworks while taking a bath! Although the building is several years old, the interior of the room felt clean and new. It was a wonderful inn with a Showa atmosphere in places! The hallway was pitch black and scary as there were no lights on. lol lol

It looks old, but it was well kept and cleaned. Even after wiping the oden with a wet cloth, it wasn't dirty. There was no shower in the bathroom in the room, but it wasn't a problem especially if you took an outside bath.In the bathroom, hot water and cold water don't mix, so if you want to wash your face with lukewarm water, it's impossible. There is only one room key, so when a family goes to the bathroom, if a man and a woman go out together, the man will wait in front of the room.It was great to be able to see the fireworks for 5 minutes from 8:30pm from my room.

The futon is damp and I don't know how long it's been laid down.

Sometimes aging and musty smells are a good thing. The interior is like a maze due to repeated additions. Are the armor, matchlock guns, and pots on display museum-quality? When you enter the room, you will feel as if you have traveled back in time to the Showa era, and the atmosphere will be very soothing. The tatami mats, soft futons and hard pillows. The unit bath style room bath without a shower is also wonderful. The power supply for the retrofitted heated toilet seat was installed on-site. I wonder if the floor tiles are from the 1960s? They are antiques in a sense, and I'm confused as to whether they're okay to step on with bare feet. If you carelessly touch the faucet part on the hot water side, you will inevitably get burned. The bathtub is deeper than necessary and children need to be careful not to drown, so even taking a bath is a Showa style experience that is full of tension. Also, the fact that the communication device from the room to the front desk is a rotary telephone is highly praised. I don't have any use for it, but I can't help but want to try the feel of the dial. Unfortunately, the TV is an LCD, but the presence of a VHS video deck made me feel good! However, I wasn't sure if paid software could be rented. The nostalgic room safe is set so that you can't deposit more than a certain amount (why?) The window in the room has a wider range of movement than necessary, giving it a sense of openness, but you need to be careful as a drunk person might fall on it. If you think of all of these as attractions where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the good old Showa era, there is no hotel that can beat this one. This is the perfect solution for those who want to enjoy the Showa era Toba atmosphere. It is no exaggeration to call it Toba Ghibli Park. Depending on your mood, "Makkurokurosuke" may appear in real life. We strongly hope that you will continue to operate with the same level of quality.

It was the cheapest combination with JR, so I used it without having high expectations. It was a short walk from the station, but the final slope was tough and gave me a good workout 😅The receptionist's response was good. The bath and sink in the room were new and there was also a shower, so it was clean. The toilet didn't seem to be new, but I have no complaints.Although not all the shower heads in the large public bath are millable shower heads, I'm glad I got to try them out! There was also a Mirabath portable in the bathtub on the first floor, but it just counted down when I turned it on, so I didn't know how to use it this time. The bathtub in the public bath is deep, so I thought it would be easier to get in and out if there was one more step.Since it was a plan to stay without meals, many restaurants within walking distance closed between 17:00 and 18:00, so we ended up having dinner at Kappa Sushi at the opposite exit of the station.I thought of buying breakfast at the Family Mart inside the station (closes at 8pm), but by 6pm, almost all the rice balls were gone. It's a good accommodation considering the price.

Hotel Wako is a long-established inn located on a hill a 5-minute walk from Toba Station. The stay was more satisfying than I had imagined, with rooms overlooking the ocean and a charming hot spring. Access from Toba Station is also excellent. There is a hill from the station to the hotel that will make you feel breathless, but if you drive up it there will be no problem. A parking lot is also available. I checked in before 3pm. The lobby is large and has a calm atmosphere. The staff was polite and gave me a good impression. This time I stayed in a room facing the sea. The room is spacious and has a retro feel, but is clean. You can see Toba Bay from the window. There is also an indoor terrace where you can relax and enjoy the sea breeze. The hotel has a public bath and an open-air bath. The public bath is spacious and has an open feel. You can see the sea from the open-air bath. It was lit up at night and was very beautiful. Since it is a private open-air bath, it costs 2,200 yen.The hotel also had entertainment facilities such as karaoke and table tennis, although they were not in operation. There are also many sightseeing spots in the area, so you can enjoy a variety of things during your stay. The seafood gourmet food around Toba Station is more expensive than offal, but I felt satisfied.
