I had a good impression when I stayed there before, so I stayed again, but there were a few things I was disappointed with.My honest opinion is that I don't think it will be an option next time.

We stayed in the old building. The room was Japanese style good for 3-4 futons. The ryokan's indoor and outdoor onsens were separated. So one needs to put on clothing before moving from indoor pool to outdoor pool, or vice versa. The dinner was very good. We chose the beef course offering high quality Iga beef. Beverages are offered near the reception area. Overall, it is a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

I've visited you many times before the coronavirus, but I'm sorry. Is it the expectations for inbound tourists, rising costs, or more internally, a change in the head chef...I'm okay with the price going up, but I enjoyed the food every time, especially the Hassun...I take pictures every time for my own memory, so I was very disappointed when I compared them. The renovations are progressing, so I wanted them to do their best, but I don't think I can support them if the food is like that...

First of all, even though it was midsummer, the air conditioner in the hallway was out of order, so it was unbearably hot after walking around Shijuhachi Falls or after taking a bath. It would be a good idea to check the air conditioner before using it, but if the air conditioner isn't working in the hallway, wouldn't it be a good idea to cool the room before you check in? Although the room is top of the line, the furniture is average and the bed is about the size of a semi-double.The worst part was, can I bring rice for dinner? The staff came to ask for it twice, but it still hadn't been brought in for about 30 minutes, so I couldn't stand it either, so I asked the staff directly if it was still there, and they brought it in a while later. When I asked the person in charge why, the reply was that it was taking a long time to make the miso soup. It's better to just say I forgot. If you boil it for 30 minutes, it will boil down and you can't drink it. If it takes that long to give up 100 steps, it's the professional's job to cook the food early so they don't have to wait. The person in charge of the hall gave this response, so when I asked the manager why, he just kept repeating, ``I'm sorry.'' I travel every year, but this is the first time I've stayed at an inn with such poor hospitality. I don't even see the landlady replying to reviews. The accommodation fee was over 90,000 yen per person, including the Obon price, and the hospitality I received felt like I was throwing money away. It is said to be a 3-star hotel listed in the Michelin Guide for the Chubu Tokai region in 2019, but has it deteriorated over the past 4 to 5 years? I don't want to give even 1 star. Compared to Honjin Hiranoya in Gifu Takayama, which has similar pricing in the Chubu Tokai area, it's a huge surprise. I'm so humbled). I will never stay there again and cannot recommend it.

I scouted the area with the intention of using only the hot springs and, if possible, making reservations for lunch and lodging, but it had been a long time since I had been in such a bad mood.Arrive at 10:20 and enter, but those who only use the hot springs cannot enter the lobby. I waited on a chair in front of the shoe rack.At 10:28, I was shown to the lobby reception desk, perhaps because I was being polite or because I didn't want other customers to see me.If you try to pay the bathing fee for 2 people at ¥900/person, it will cost ¥2,400/2 people, including 2 unnecessary towels. When I told them that the HP price was ¥900/person, they said that the price had been raised because they had renovated it. I thought they had come to check the price after the website was renovated, but I had no choice but to tell them that I wanted to pay by card, but they said they only accept cash.Yes, I can't do it anymore. I didn't go in and went home.Well, it's a day trip hot spring at such an inn. If you like it, please do.I will never do it again. I personally judged that this is an inn that forced the old buildings to look nice and treated day-trippers to the hot springs poorly, but they wanted to get their money back.I am very interested in your wonderful reply. I guess you want to state the validity. It's not like I'm going to a hot spring facility with the shutters closed. I didn't understand the rule that once you enter the open entrance, you can't enter the lobby. There's no problem with bathing after 10:30, and before that. I had no intention of taking a bath, and I was surprised that I wasn't allowed to leave the lobby. You seem to have misunderstood something. Also, although the bathing time is said to be from 10:30, customers who have a meal are guided to the lobby, and their requests to take a bath first are accepted, so they can enter before 10:30. That's the rule at your place. This is where you are treated as a 1200 yen customer. It has nothing to do with the user whether it is cleaned in a hurry or not. I would like you to clean it carefully and slowly. It goes without saying that each card payment has its own rules, and the rule set by people with the same idea as above is that only using hot springs is prohibited by credit card. It is important to write it clearly on the HP.I'm looking at the landlady's comments again, and the ones with 1 star have written some harsh sentences somewhere. I'm not a user, but a reviewer with experience, so I'll accept some harsh replies, but I was surprised by the content.

I went to the end of Akame Shijuhachi Falls, which was my dream. We came back to the inn, took a relaxing hot spring bath, and ate some delicious food. The elaborate and artistic-looking dishes are brought out one after another, and they go perfectly with alcohol. It was a great satisfaction. It was a relaxing inn where you could feel the sincerity of the staff.
