So I have no idea why this is listed as a hotel. I only saw the café which offers AMAZING tofu tarts. You can get the same down the side road in a even more relaxed café for a little cheaper (and a lunch before that if you prefer).

I was hesitant for a moment when I heard it was vegan and gluten-free.A place where you can enjoy a cool cup of Americano and chocolate cake while avoiding crowds of people. It's called the vending machine view, but I like this place better than the crowded place across the river!

Stumbled upon this vegan + gluten-free cafe while walking through town. We ordered the raspberry tart + pear tart + hojicha (roasted green tea leaves tea). Everything was oishi (delicious)! And the woman who helped us order was very sweet. :)

It’s not an hotel, it’s a coffee shop. It’s just outside the crowds of Arashiyama so it’s a perfect place for a break with AC if you’re tired of the hords of tourists. Everything is vegan and good 😊

I ordered take away vegan cheesecakes in 3 different flavors. They were all delicious and I would like to come back to Japan from Australia to try them again. Sooo good!
