Our experience at the Japanese restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Nikko was wonderful. First of all, the atmosphere inside the restaurant is an elegant space with a calm Japanese atmosphere, and I was able to enjoy my meal while feeling the nature of Nikko. The staff's service was courteous, and I felt comfortable with their explanations of the dishes and hospitality. All dishes are beautifully presented and feature plenty of fresh, local ingredients.

Bittersweet overall.Good points- Decoration - By far the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The decor is second to none.- Location - sat on the edge of a lake, the situation is stunning. It is isolated (which is what we wanted).- Service/staff - charming and attentive, and all in all faultless.- Spa/onsen - wonderful facilities with a very complete offering (indoor and outdoor hot baths, sauna, ice bath, shower, gym, massage etc).Bad points- Private onsen - It is the only time where I have paid for an additional service that is far worse that the basic services in the hotel/room. You only get a hot bath and a shower, which needless to say is eye-wateringly expensive for 30 minutes. I gave feedback when prompted by the staff, but overall they don’t seem to have really cared. In summary, it’s a complete rip-off when you compare it to the main onsen/facilities.- Food and drinks - underwhelming, expensive and unfortunately, not on par with the rest of the hotel. We’ve had some ‘life-changing’ meals in Japan, but these were far from being any of them.

I stayed at Golden Week for 1 night and 2 days.It was crowded due to the busy season, but the staff were courteous and I was able to spend my time with peace of mind. The inside of the building and the rooms were very nice, and I was able to relax in the room so I could spend time barefoot, and the heated floor was comfortable. The reason for the -1 star is the woman (maybe Belstaff?) who was waiting outside. The system was to leave the car keys at the hotel, but I left my luggage in the car, so when I went to retrieve it, and when I was done with my business and tried to leave the keys again, the female staff member who came to pick it up had a very sad face on her face and didn't say anything. I took the key and returned it.I couldn't confirm the name or follow her (because I was carrying an infant), and I was too embarrassed to tell the front desk, so I was left with an unpleasant feeling, so I'm writing here.I don't know if something unpleasant happened at work, or if they thought we were lacking in style and responded sloppily.I want them to be aware that they are in the customer service industry and acquire the skills to avoid making others feel uncomfortable.I am disqualified as a customer service professional.

It is located at the top of Irohazaka. The room had a view of Lake Chuzenji, had a modern interior using wood, and outside you could see Mt. Nantai and Lake Chuzenji. I liked the fact that it felt like staying at a lodge, with all the best features. At night, there were candles on the balcony, creating a very nice atmosphere, and there were deer walking outside, making it so peaceful that I wanted to stay outside for hours. In the morning, I could see the sea of clouds and hear the birds, which was soothing. It's the only Ritz-Carlton hotel that also has a hot spring, so it soothes your body and soul, and makes you want to stay another night. I will definitely go again! The breakfast was delicious and everyone was so kind and made it an unforgettable stay.As other people have written about, I felt a little sad that I had to see them off so quickly on my way home.I had teppanyaki for dinner, but it didn't feel very high class. The breakfast here is amazing, so you should definitely try it.I want to conquer all spring, summer, fall and winter.

For whiskey lovers, we have a selection of ultra-rare drinks that you can't find on the streets. It was a little out of reach, but it was a memorable place that made my dream come true. The night sky is not something you can only see here, but you can only see the starry sky by staying here.Night sky taken with Xiaomi 13T Pro in late September.
