This is a prefectural youth nature home located on Rokuroshi Highland. Staff and volunteer camp counselors have continued outdoor programs at this historic facility for many years. The facility has been renovated and the restrooms are Western-style and clean. Inexpensive and authentic outdoor programs such as the Forest Adventure School are held regularly. At a time when there are fewer activities outside of school, such as children's club activities, we offer programs that are very important for children. Parents of elementary school and junior high school children may want to consider participating. The only thing is that it is currently difficult to drink water voluntarily within the facility, so we recommend that you bring a water bottle and water when participating.

The trailhead for the Mt. Kyogadake Mt. Hogetsu course. There is a sign for a parking lot for climbers a little before the buildings of the nature house, and there is space for 7 to 8 cars. If that happens, I don't know for sure, but you might be able to park your car by contacting the Nature Center (there is such information on the mountain climbing map). The Kyogadake Observation Deck trailhead (Choshigaguchi Observation Deck) above this point was closed to traffic from the Karatani River side due to road damage (as of October 2023).(access)Paved from the main road.(Facility)No toilet. No water source. No mountain climbing report.(cell phone)Enter Docomo 4G.

The facility itself is not that new, but it seems to be well-maintained.Since it is aiming to be certified as a starry sky reserve, there are no street lights nearby. You can see the beautiful night view of Ono city in the distance. Also, the starry sky is beautiful.

The facilities are nice and clean. Fully air conditioned.Since it is used for a training camp, cleaning and putting away the futons are necessary.Sweets are prohibited. Tea dispenser can be used only for tea and meals (hot/cold). You can make tea in a kettle using a water heater (boiling water), but the rule is to cool it to room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator, so it takes a while before you can drink it.There is also a vending machine next to the entrance, but please drink outside. But having it helped me a lot. On the day I left, water and tea were sold out.To replenish paper cups, etc., you need to go down the mountain and drive about 25 minutes one way to buy them. There were no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby.Overall it was very good.During the group photo, a staff member asked, ``Where is this? ”“Fukui Prefectural Okuetsu Kogen Youth Nature? ? ”…(All members) “Home! ! It was impressive and nice that they took photos for me. I would like to use it again.
