Set in one of the nicest neighbourhoods of Kumamoto, surrounded by cafes, street food stores and some of the best kaiseki restaurants (looking at you, Matsuda), this place is cozy, practical, beautiful and sweet all in one. Everything is super clean, and a lot of small, practical details make this an easy place to stay. It attracts mature Japanese women as well as internationals. More guesthouse than hostel, the atmosphere is fantastic and a breath of fresh, social but private, air for the lone female traveller.I had a tiny private tatami room. Entirely served it’s purpose - basic but with all important amenities such as fan, air conditioner, window and electric socket (and pretty good lighting!).Service is friendly, thoughtful and professional in one, just like the place itself. I left my luggage for a few hours and when I came back to pick it up there was a very sweet note left on top.Thank you to the owner and to my fellow guest women for thoughtfully sharing such a nice space.

A women-only inn.The common areas were clean and I felt safe staying there. The price was also reasonable.

A great hostel - very clean !The location is convenient as next to the bus terminal and 2 stations away from the main train station (or 15 minutes by walk)There is not towel nor shampoo at your disposal so you will need to buy it from them. The first time I am seeing that in Japan! For female travelers only

If you like traveling and want to keep your accommodation costs down and move around freely, I think this is a good option for you.The single room is small, about 2 tatami mats, but there is an air conditioner.Since it is a sliding door, you have to be careful about the sounds of opening and closing, and you can hear the presence of people and footsteps. The key is also special, so it's a little confusing to get used to it.Recommended for those who don't mind those things. However, the common spaces such as the common room, rooftop, and kitchen are of normal size and can be used freely.I think it will be a great memory of your trip.

It was a very cute inn, and I could feel the good taste everywhere. The kitchen, bath, and sink were so comfortable that it was a waste to check out. It's impressive to see Kumamoto Castle lit up from the rooftop. It was easily accessible and there was a supermarket nearby. I would definitely like to stay here again when I come to Kumamoto.

It was my first time traveling alone abroad, and my English and Japanese were not very good. Fortunately, the host of the hotel was very patient in explaining it! To me, everything is great overall. The interior decoration is beautiful, the location is great, and there is a charichari available for rent nearby. I started running from the farthest scenic spots the day before, and went out early the next morning to run around Kumamoto Castle, waiting for the noon ride. I can handle the Shinkansen with ease~

It was such a wonderful stay, it was hard to leave! The inn is for women only and is securely locked at night and early in the morning (you can go in and out with the key), so I felt very safe staying there.I was able to stay in a 2 tatami private room for about 3,000 yen. These 2 tatami mats had just the right amount of personal space and were very comfortable. The entire inn was so clean that I wondered how they were cleaning it, and there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere. The walls of the rooms on the 1st floor are thin, so the sounds of people coming in and out through the sliding doors and walking in the hallway are more noticeable than in a normal inn. When I stayed there, most of the people were well-mannered and I had a quiet time. The shower room is on the 2nd floor, so if you have trouble with your legs or knees, you might want to avoid it (the stairs are gentle). There is a 24-hour coin parking lot in front of the inn for 500 yen, which is convenient. (As of November 2023)Everything is really great for the price!I'm looking forward to my next stay!
