Although it is deep in the mountains, the road to the campsite is relatively wide and easy to pass. The water in the kitchen comes from a well and is not suitable for drinking, so you will need to bring your own drinking water. The toilets are Western-style with flushing, and are kept very clean and tidy. There are no facilities such as showers. It's an open area near the top of the mountain, so there's good ventilation, so if you're planning a bonfire, it might be a good idea to bring a reflector. This is a small campsite where you can spend a quiet time looking up at the beautiful stars.

I visited there because I was told that the starry sky was beautiful. It's quite a mountain, there are only 6 sections on the site, we save water, and we take all trash home with us, so the price is low, but there are some restrictions. The manager is kind and will tell you a lot of things, so it might be a good idea to ask about nearby activities. However, on the south side, the lights of the Seto Inland Sea port are so bright that you can't see much of the stars. I was hoping to see the Milky Way, but I couldn't see it with the naked eye and could only see it faintly with my camera. The north side was good. The nearby Bisei Astronomical Observatory is also recommended, and it's fun to take a walk around Yakage Town, so I personally recommend it. The toilets also flush and are clean. However, if it continues to rain, the grounds will get muddy, so it might be a good idea to bring rain boots. The tent site itself is grass, so drainage is good. There are also brick blocks for people who want to make a bonfire, so it's nice to be able to reduce damage to the grass.I think it's a good site overall. I would like to visit again the next time I go camping in the Okayama area.

Beautiful location with a stunning view. Unfortunately we were send away by the owners in an unrespectful way, because we didn’t make a reservation by phone but on Facebook messenger. So if you want to stay here, make sure you do your reservation by phone…

There were only a few sites, so it was relaxing. Although it was a little cloudy at night, we were able to observe the starry sky.

It's unusual because it's a school site, but it's not masago soil, so if it rains, the soil is ash, making it difficult to camp.
