I had some expectations as it is a reasonably priced hotel. I booked a higher-grade room instead of the smallest room. When you open the entrance, there is a shoe rack on the left, and a tea set and refrigerator on the right. There is a washroom in front of it. There was a toilet in the back. It's inconvenient because you have to change into slippers to go from your room to the refrigerator. Inside the room, a shower room was forced into a part of the wide veranda. The toilet has a strong urine smell and looks clean, but I wonder if it's being cleaned. I doubt it. There were a lot of small toothpaste marks on the walls of the bathroom, which was unsanitary. Is the bath really a hot spring? It has a texture that makes you think. The smell of chlorine is so strong that people mistake it for tap water. There was only one open-air bath, and it was separated by time of day, for men in the evening and for women in the morning. I went to the open-air bath in the morning, and I could see the symbol tree (?) from along the lake. You will not be able to enter the open-air bath with peace of mind unless it is clearly marked that areas visible from the open-air bath are prohibited. There were only two hair dryers in the indoor bath, and one had a poor connection and would start and stop...I couldn't use it because it was dangerous. The only futons are a rice cracker futon and a fluffy comforter that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time. The air conditioner was of a very old type, and although it was still hot that day, the airflow did not get too strong.I went to the window to enjoy the lakeside view, but the window was dirty. It may not be possible to clean it every day, but it was so dirty that it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years.I went to the front desk to tell them that I wanted to enjoy the view, but they told me they didn't have a rag and gave me a regular face towel. I did. Window cleaning is also self-service. I thought it was only the outside that was dirty, but the glass inside was also covered in dirt and grime. At this point, everything felt dirty and I couldn't even take my socks off, even in the room. The food was delicious.I took a breakfast cruise in the morning. It was a little hectic to look at the scenery while eating a boxed lunch, but the early morning cruise was a great experience with a pleasant breeze. Recommended! It's in a great location, so if they could improve their hospitality a little more, I think it would be a ryokan that I would want to visit next time. Even if the equipment is old, I don't think it's bad if you keep it clean. I'm giving it 2 stars because I want them to try harder.

Facing Lake Suigetsu, the view from the room and bath was refreshing. Dinner was a puffer fish course, and I ended up eating more than I could finish.

Good value for money and delicious food. It's been renovated, but it's old in places. It seems that the EV charger is being updated, so even if it's just for one car, it's a nice service.

Although there were some parts that felt a little dated, the staff was very responsive. The open-air bath and public bath were clean and comfortable, but in the room, I was a little worried that there was a lot of dust in the area where the extension cord was plugged in, but the food was delicious.
