Hot spring series brought to you by me, a hot spring sommelier. It was 1000 yen for a day trip to the hot springs. Okutsuso, Okutsu Onsen, Okayama Prefecture. It is said that there were many inns in the past.It looks like there are only 3 now. There were 3 cases in a row: boiling water, then normal water, then lukewarm water, and it gradually became warmer.Okutsu-so is a tangible cultural property with a wonderful atmosphere. Boiling water. The most important hot spring is radium spring. A very deep hot spring of the highest quality. I think you might get hit by the hot water if you stay in it for too long.I wonder if there are any hot springs with such good quality. It was a hot spring that I wanted to go to if it was nearby. The staff were also very nice and made me feel comfortable.

A lovely building with a tasteful atmosphere. Stairs that give you a feel of the Showa era.As expected, the bath was the best. The hot spring feels good ♨️The bath is small, but there are only a few rooms where you can stay, and three of them have a bath, and you can use it 24 hours a day, so I think you can enjoy it. This is a hot spring that I would like to visit again.

The room was clean and the hot spring with plenty of hot water was very nice. However, for dinner, the famous rice bowl was served halfway through the meal, and more rice was served at the end, so although I was full, I felt it was a bit lacking in terms of content. The breakfast, on the other hand, was so rich that I couldn't finish it. Considering the price, I would like the dinner to be a little more luxurious. I would like to go again if it were a little cheaper.

Day trip bathing is 1000 yen and is open from 11am to 2:30pm. There is a communal parking lot just past the parking lot.The women's bath is called a standing bath, which is so deep that you can stand up to your shoulders, and the bottom of the bath is the same as the riverbed, which is a rare experience. The hot water flowing straight from the source will make your skin smooth. There is a meeting space outside the standing bath. There is a drinking fountain faucet and paper cups.Shampoos and hair dryers are provided, but no lotion, so please bring your own.
