It's about an hour's drive from Shirakawa on Route 118 towards Minami Aizu past Lake Hatori, then turn left towards the ski resort Ten'ei and head towards Mt. Nigi for about 10 minutes. There's so much forest around that I'm starting to wonder if there's anything there! 😅There are about five inns in Nigi Onsen. This time I visited Kashiwaya Ryokan♨️There is a dedicated parking lot for Kashiwaya Ryokan in front of the entrance! 🚐Day trip hot spring hoursIt was from 11am to 4pm on the day I went!Bathing fee is 880 yenWhen I paid at the reception desk, the landlady politely asked me? provided careful guidance! The entrance to the inn is on the 4th floor, and the bath is on the 1st floor, so take the elevator down! The day trip hot spring hours areA man takes a rock bath 🪨 and an indoor waterfall bathA woman takes an indoor cypress bathIt seems that the rock bath is rented out by the hour when you stay overnight! The rock bath is located a short walk outside, and there is a rock bath inside the hut.It was a strange structure that I had never seen before! There is a changing room in the hut where you can change your clothes, and although there is no washroom in the changing room, there is a hair dryer! The rock bath is an artesian hot spring that gushes out from between the rocks, and it gushes out from below, but it also gushes out from the rocks on the wall, so the hot spring was flowing! The bottom is a little deeper. The artesian spring itself was hot, but there was a little water coming out of the pipes, and when I entered it, it was hot, probably because no one had entered it for a while 🥵I stirred it with a board hanging on the wall and the hot water was just right, probably 42 degrees! ?There was a river in front of the hut, and it was a very nice space! All the employees at the inn were kind, they said hello, and were very responsive.Next time I would like to come and stay with my family instead of alone 😌

The hot springs are right next to the river, the quality of the hot springs is good, and it has a very atmospheric atmosphere. The flowers on the fist are beautiful. There are several types of baths, but the rock bath is the best.

I visited you on a day trip to the bath♨️The building had been renovated so the facilities were very clean. The elegant landlady gave us detailed instructions on how to get to the rock bath.Tenugui towels can be borrowed for free. The transparent rock bath that gushes out from the rocks was very warming.

Eight years ago, I stayed at this inn with a group of four friends, and I was so impressed with the artesian rock bath and the rustic open-air view across the river that I knew I would definitely want to stay again …
