I stayed there on a Sunday in October after being picked up from Fukushima Station. The microbus will depart as soon as there are enough people, so it's best to get on the bus early. The room had futons spread out in advance, and there was plenty of space for two people. In this room, you can see the white steam from the source from the window, which makes you feel better. The room had a toilet, TV, refrigerator, fan, hair dryer, and wifi. The best thing about this inn is the cloudy sulfur hot springs. There is an indoor bath and an open-air bath for men and women on the 1st floor, and an indoor bath and an indoor bath and an open-air bath on the 2nd floor, which are separated by gender. The open-air bath in particular is a bit wild and nice. However, you have to walk outside and most of the changing rooms are open in the open, so it might be difficult on rainy days or in the middle of winter. The cypress bath on the second floor had been renovated to be barrier-free and was much cleaner than I expected. The meal was a normal inn meal in the large hall, but everything except the appetizers and hot pot was brought out in order. There was a vending machine next to the lobby, and ice cream was self-reported.I thought that the Noji Onsen in the foreground was good, but I preferred this one for the open-air bath, and since the number of rooms is limited, it's homely and quiet, so I would like to stay here again next time.

I visited Fukuoka's secret hot spring, Sagamiya, in April. It's 1000m above sea level, so there are still traces of snow.It feels good to soak in the open air bath while looking at the white fumarole. The bathroom on the second floor has been renovated and is very stylish.I love humble inns, the cloudy hot springs are super refreshing.

Excellent Japanese style hotel. You will have the choice between different hot springs, inside and outside. The water is very whitish and has this very unique "rotten egg" smell that every onsen lover cherishes. The onsen opening hours vary so it is better to check them upon arrival. The outside pool is open between 8:00 and 22:00 but the door is not closed so it's possible to take a bath outside earlier, or later. The outside pool decoration is a bit peculiar and I think bamboo would have been a better fit. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Coffee is provided during the breakfast. This is real coffee, not instant coffee.😊 most of the furos have been recently renovated. The wooden floor and the structure look shiny and beautiful. The smell of the freshly cut cypress wood is almost intoxicating, in a good way.But...🙁 Just like many Japanese Ryokan built in the 80s, hastily renovated in the previous decade in order to meet an increasing demand, a lot of things need to be refurbished or replaced. The paint is peeling, the planks are breaking up and the wallpaper is coming off in some places.Despite that, I highly recommend this place: the location is fantastic and the onsen water quality is outstanding.

Although it is a secret hot spring, there is an elevator so it is safe for the elderly. I feel like it's a family run business and they treat me with great care. I repeat it so many times I forget.

Revisited for the first time in 20 years. First of all, I think the cloudy hot springs are among the best, including the location. There was no problem with the reception from the people at the inn, and I think they were all Japanese. It seems that the depths of this mountain have not been eroded by inbound tourists. Six tatami rooms, no air conditioning, wifi available, TV without BS, but convenient as it has a toilet, washroom, and refrigerator. Looking at the customer base I met at the restaurant, it was only elderly people. My only regret is that I don't think the food is delicious. I think it would make a difference just to change the food, but it might be a good place to stay without having to put in that much effort. Overall, Sagamiya Ryokan is better than the nearby Noji Onsen Ryokan.

A member inn of the Secret Hot Springs Protection Association. I used it for 1 night and 2 days on a solo trip at the end of March. It takes 1-2 hours by shuttle bus from Fukushima Station. The landmark is the volcanic smoke that rises along the mountain path. Since the altitude is close to 1230m, there was a lot of snow falling. Our hotel is located in front of Sagamiya, with Noji Onsen Hotel next door, and our hotel a little further back. There are two indoor hot springs and two outdoor hot springs. Except for the open-air baths, men and women take turns depending on the time, so you can enjoy all the baths. I think there were a lot of other people staying during my stay on Saturday and Sunday, but I didn't have a bath at all, so it was reserved for the whole time. On the contrary, I became anxious (^^;;It's a lovely inn with a smell of sulfur in the air, but the best part is the food. I took the opportunity to choose Fukushima beef, and it exceeded my expectations. Of course, you can have any refills of rice. The landlady asks if there are enough. I was completely satisfied. There were 5.6 types of Japanese sake in 300ml small bottles of local sake. We also have beer and soft drinks. The next day, I have a slow pick-up time, so I take another bath after I wake up in the morning. In the end, I took a bath 5.6 times by going in and out...lolAlso, a little further on is Jododaira, which is famous for its autumn leaves, and Bandai Azuma Skyline. I would like to visit in autumn next time.

I visited here several years ago, both as a guest and as a day trip. It's my favorite bath because I love open-air baths surrounded by nature, but it seems like I've already given up on day trip baths. It's a shame that I can't go there more easily, but I'd like to stay there someday.

This is my second visit. The hot springs were as good as ever ♨️ Although it was during the Golden Week, except for the bathing right after arriving, it was reserved for everyone, so it was great to be able to relax and enjoy the hot springs. The hot springs with snow falling from time to time were also special. I want to go again next year 😌
