“Clean, compact, modern, well appointed and well located apartment ”As a family of two adults and two children (seven and 10), we loved our stay at Guest House Nisso. The apartment was modern and very clean with everything we needed for our stay and more, with extras including a cold filtered water machine, a selection of good quality toiletries, detergent for the washing macine, a hoover, iron and ironing board. There were other touches which made our stay even more special, including a few, good quality kids puzzles and toys, and even a foot massager which the kids loved. The owners really had thought of everything to make our stay extra special.The apartment is small but well arranged and includes good storage space. A well thought out configuration allows the kitchen and dining area to be closed off from the sleeping area with sliding doors.The location was ideal with restaurants and shops nearby and a 5-minute walk to the train station, only four stops from Universal Studios. We highly recommend the fantastic Teppanyaki Restaurant next door to the apartment block.The check-in procedures were simple and well communicated, and there are helpful guides in English to explain how to use all of the equipment in the apartment.This was one of our most enjoyable and best value stays in Japan. If you are a couple or a family with younger children who can manage in small apartments, we highly recommend Guest House Nisso.We would always choose this apartment if we were to visit the area again. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely place to use as a base for exploring Osaka. Like the other review mentions, you'll need to be able to lift your case up stairs, but this is true across Japanese cities. The apartment is very small but fully featured with lots of gadgets. Everything is clean. The only thing i'd criticise is that the mattresses are thin futon types. Normally not an issue but i'd picked up a bad back. I used the sofa bed instead and that was very comfortable.

Stairs can be difficult when you have young children with you. It was impossible to carry my luggage up the mountain, so I wanted to at least stay on the second floor. The 4th floor is very difficult, I wish they would have given it a little more consideration.
