I stayed here for one night in September 2024.I was only able to get a Japanese-style room, but there was a table and two chairs by the window, which was surprisingly nice. In a Japanese-style room, you have to lay out your own futon. There was a spider web in the bathroom of my room, so I removed it myself. Baths are open until 8pm. There is no morning bath. There are two hair dryers in the women's bath. Apparently there was only one men's bath. The refrigerator is probably shared and placed in the hallway. We have everything you need at the bare minimum. Until November 1, 2024, there are times when the area will be closed to traffic on weekdays due to construction within a few minutes of the hotel. We recommend that you get information online before going. I waited there for over 30 minutes...

We came in this area to climb the mount Tsurugi and we found this gem of hotel. The owner is extremely helpful. He knows the area very well and gave us a lot of tips here around. He also spent with us one and a half hours on helping us out to book our next accommodation and making phone calls for us! Such a sweet and kind person! The area around the hotel is very nice as well, there are hiking tracks starting off next to the hotel, the area is quiet and peaceful and at night, you can watch the stars. We stayed here 2 nights, the room is spacious and clean, the public bath is amazing and ideal after the whole day hiking around. We also had dinner and breakfast here, and the food is absolutely delicious! One of the best meals in the entire japan so far! Highly recommend!!

Stayed for 1 night. I was able to come into contact with a lot of nature through the starry sky at night and the morning walk. The hotel was clean, the pork shabu for dinner was very delicious, and the ojiya at the end was amazing. The hotel staff's attentive care made it an enjoyable trip.

It is not recommended for foreigners to stay. The person in charge treats Japanese and foreigners differently. Moreover, we checked in late because we were not familiar with the mountain roads. He kept urging us during the meal and did not even let us take a shower. In the end, he only allowed us to take a shower for 10 minutes after communicating with him, but he smiled at the Japanese people. The attitude of the person in charge was very unfriendly. It was the worst I have ever encountered during my trip to Japan. I would not recommend it. I would definitely not stay in this hotel again!

One of our favorite places in Japan! We stayed here for two nights to get away from the hustle and bustle of the major tourist attractions. The inn/ryokan is located in nature close to the highest mountain on Shikoku island. The meals were the tastiest of our entire trip: shabu shabu and grilled meat with side dishes. The owner is super friendly - no common language needed :-). There is also an onsen for bathing after a day of hiking.
