The road was quite narrow and I had a hard time getting there, but the customer service and food were so great that all of my troubles were blown away! The room was spacious, clean, and I was able to search freely. There was a refrigerator for communal use.For both dinner and breakfast, we used plenty of local ingredients, and even though I'm a guy, there were so many delicious dishes that my stomach would burst. The people at the inn were very friendly and easy to talk to, and I could relate to the fact that Prince and Mrs. Akishino chose this place for their stay.We would love to stay with you again! !

It had a great texture but was tough.I also enjoyed the story of the landlady. It was small but I'm glad I went. There really wasn't a single sound. No cars pass by either. We had a refreshing morning😊Of course, the breakfast was also delicious.Thank you very much, madam 😊

Best Nihon ryokanExcellent food, rooms, serviceIn GokanoshoStayed for two nights. This place is run by Mama, the sweetest old lady, and patronised by Japan's royalty. She made an attempt to communicate with gaijins like us despite the language barrier and gifted us sweets before we left.Gokanosho is a lovely hidden gem and Sakura-sou makes the whole area + experience even better!

This is a guesthouse located in Gokanosho. It's a rural guesthouse, so it's quiet. For dinner, we had a lot of different dishes, mainly game dishes, wild fish sashimi, and grilled fish.I also ate a bee 🐝 baby for the first time. The smoked venison was also delicious.Since it's a guesthouse, we have no choice but to use a communal toilet, but unfortunately we couldn't use the heated toilet seat in the toilet on the second floor.

Since there were five of us, we had a large room with three rooms, but there was no air conditioning in the room, and even on the mountain, it was over 30 degrees Celsius and we were sweating. The room was also damp and had a musty smell. The bed was a cot with boa sheets and a warm blanket even though it was midsummer. It was a series of surprises. The other rooms seemed to have been renovated and had air conditioning. The food was very delicious. In a sense, it was a memorable guesthouse.

Even in this intense heat, Gokanosho is still cool.We drove through the mountains at 36 degrees Celsius on the plains and arrived at Sakuraso at 26 degrees Celsius, which had a great atmosphere!!I immediately washed off my sweat in the large cypress bath and looked forward to dinner starting at 6:30pm (。•̀ᴗ-)There are 3 groups including us staying here from Friday.Although it is an unexplored area, it is a popular guesthouse. The head of the Heike clan, a descendant of the fallen, seems to be one of the many branches of Emperor Kanmu.A few months ago, Prince Akishino and his wife stayed at this inn without making it public. The food was very delicious and I was very satisfied with the reviews. This is an inn you'll want to stay at again!Thank you for your help as a couple ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Although this is a private house, it is quiet, elegant and cool. I feel very full after this dinner.
