It is a hot spring town one hour away from Kumamoto. Since the neighborhood is quiet, I feel relaxed.Since it was a Korean reservation, I received explanations in Korean. The staff seemed exhausted as they explained things in such detail haha.We were assigned a 12 tatami room. It was comfortable for 3 people to sleep. There is a view from the accommodation, but it is best not to have high expectations.Because the room is so spacious, it also has a private bathroom. They say there is hot spring water, but I used the large public bath. The large public bath smells like sulfur, so people may not like it.Meals are served at the accommodation, food is served in an orderly manner, and you can enjoy a sense of neatness.Because it is a very quiet neighborhood, the ryokans in the area have tour holidays. Be careful when making a reservation.Still, there is a Lawson convenience store 10 minutes away, so it's a good place to buy what you need.Breakfast is eaten in a separate area and is served in a quiet atmosphere. It consists of simple food and you can eat it casually.Public transportation is inconvenient and there are no places nearby to stop by, but if you like the smell of sulfur and are looking for a quiet place with nothing to do, this hot spring may be a recommended accommodation.

A simple sulfur hot spring (flowing directly from the source) located in Kumamoto City, number 46 on the 88 hot springs tour in Kyushu. This time, I took care of him for work the next day.All rooms are on the second floor, so it may be a little difficult for people with bad legs, but the stairs are designed to be easy to climb, with only 20 or so small steps and a relatively gentle slope. There is a nursing chair in the large bath that is easy to use even for people with walking problems, so it is perfect for elderly people! There is a handrail in the indoor bath. The outdoor bath was a bit hot, but the source temperature is over 48 degrees, so I think the indoor bath will be hot enough even in winter.Since it is a simple hot spring, it is basically a hot spring that is easy for people of all ages to enter. The pH is 8.61, which is not too strong and doesn't leave the floor too slippery, so it passes the standards for a hot spring for beautiful skin.It also has 2.2mg of sulfur per 1kg, which is not too strong, and is certified as a hot spring for beautiful skin. It is a good spring that has passed the two criteria of hot springs for beautiful skin.Since it is a simple hot spring, it is not included in the name of the hot spring, but since it contains a large amount of hydrogen carbonate, it is thought to be effective in removing dead skin cells. The surprising thing is that the shower and the water in the room use plenty of hot spring water! The water pressure is also great! A hot spring where you can drink tap water! It's too luxurious! The moisturizing effect is not very high in terms of ingredients, so if you are staying overnight, please use the moisturizer provided in your room, and if you are visiting the hot springs, don't forget to bring your moisturizer. The staff at the inn helped me check in early even though I arrived a little early, introduced me to an inn that might lend me a bicycle, and made breakfast earlier since I had to work early in the morning. Thank you very much for your help!Although the facility feels old, it is kept very clean. I'm sensitive to smells and dust, but I had a comfortable stay.By the way, I came by bus from Fukuoka city, and I took the Hinokuni bus from the Tenjin or Hakata bus center that stopped at Ueki Interchange, and the bus stop I got off at was adjacent to the Sanko Bus stop. If you take the bus to Ueki Onsen from there, you will be very close to the Ueki Onsen bus stop. If you go to Sakuramachi Bus Terminal, it will be a long detour and you will be on a route bus for a long time, so we recommend getting off at the Ueki Interchange. If the bus to Ueki Onsen doesn't arrive easily, there are two good cafes near the Ueki Interchange, so it's better to wait there. I went to both of them, and I highly recommend Furufuru, who is particular about coffee, and Kitchen Akari, which has a great selection of sweets!(2024.10.4)

The attitude of the staff was bad.Ueki Onsen has a common ticket, and I also used it to visit Hirayama. One day, I ran out of tickets, so I thought I'd buy a new one, so I told the receptionist about it.A middle-aged female staff member (landlady?) suggested that Hirayama Ryokan also has its own coupon tickets.Of course, the Hirayama coupon ticket can only be used at Hirayama, so when I said, ``I'd like to use it for Ueki Onsen,'' they responded with a clearly sullen and rude attitude, saying, ``Yes, yes.''Later, when I tried to take a bath again in Hirayama using the "Ueki Onsen common ticket," the same staff member (landlady?) said in a very rude tone, "You can't use that ticket on Sundays! I told you so!" I told you. No, this is the first time you've said it? I've been here on Sundays before, but I've never been told anything like that.Do you really want to make people buy Hirayama's unique coupon tickets? Does the Ueki Onsen common ticket not have much flavor for Hirayama? It is unclear what the customer is dissatisfied with, but it has nothing to do with the customer. This is based on the established rules, so there is no fault in this, and they are simply using their natural precision. If you don't like the way the Ueki Onsen union is doing things, just tell the union. If it still doesn't resolve the issue, you should leave the union or something. It's no good in the service industry to hit customers who have no fault of their own.Since that incident, I have never used Hirayama. Who would want to go to a place with such bad customer service?Recommended for people who don't want to pay money and experience unpleasant experiences.

A compact hot spring that can be used as a drop-in bathThe price is cheap at 500 yen, the lockers are coin-returnable, and above all, the woman at the reception desk is very friendly, so I was very impressed. There is also a rest area in the opposite direction from the hot springs, so you can take a short break. The water quality was also thick.
