An old inn in Yumura Onsen that is connected to Osamu Dazai. Near the lobby, there is a life-sized copy of his pale face.To be honest, I can't deny that the whole place, including the building, is quite old, but that's why I was able to relax in the calm atmosphere of a long-established store. I hope that these retro-style tourist inns can survive as retro as they are.

2024-4-25It was vacant land. The proprietress of Kobo Yu said that she was saddened by the fact that she had been replaced and closed down. This is an inn and bath with a retro feel.100% hot water from the source is overflowing.(^-^)

It is certainly an old inn, but it is quaint and has a nostalgic and relaxing atmosphere. Those who are used to key card business hotels may find it inconvenient, but the special atmosphere that can only be experienced here is irreplaceable.Inside the building is a reference room of Osamu Dazai, who used to stay there to write, and the old furniture and paintings are used to create a sense of the era.The hot spring water was lukewarm but gentle. This is an inn that I would like to stay at again when I come to Yumura Onsenkyo.

Second stay at Meiji. The hot spring source in Yamanashi Prefecture is so soft that it feels like you are soaking in the natural water of the Southern Alps. The couple at the inn are also soft and kind.I'm usually attracted to hot water and strong sources. This hot spring is soft and soothing for your tired soul.It wraps you gently.I think it's difficult because of the high prices of various things. My intuition sensor is here tonight as well.I was healed at the inn. This is an inn that has been approved by Osamu, who wants to stay here forever.

This is one of the few inns in Yumura Onsen, which is connected to Takeda Shingen, and has natural hot spring water.Guests can enter 24 hours a day.The building and facilities are old, but the food for breakfast and dinner was very delicious.Staying on Saturday was cheap at 10,000 yen per person, including two meals. At this price, I was very satisfied with the horse sashimi included with my dinner.I was surprised at how spacious the room was. It's not a new and clean room, but it's not dirty or anything, and you can feel the history in a good way.If I had to say a bad point, it would be a little scary to go from the room to the bathroom at night because the lights are off and the hallways and stairs in the building are dark. The lights are off in the changing room and it's pitch black, so it would be helpful if you could leave the lights on so I don't get scared (^_^;)However, it has become one of the inns that I would definitely like to stay at again.I can recommend it! Everyone, please come and stay the night.

It's the best. I've stayed in many places around the country, but this is my favorite place. However, it is not suitable for people who are familiar with Dormy Inn and Toyoko Inn. The equipment is clearly old. However, the hot springs at Dormy Inn were never crowded with people. I had the large hot spring bath all to myself. Also, the breakfast is not like the buffet competition like the above hotels. (You don't like that.) You can eat slowly and calmly. White rice is delicious. There are materials about Osamu Dazai in the museum, but it is also recommended for people who are not fans of Dazai. Please note that the hot springs are lukewarm. Not suitable for people who like piping hot food. But I would like to go again.

It's about 20 minutes by bus from Kofu Station and about 5 minutes from the bus stop. As soon as you enter the entrance, you will be greeted by a life-sized panel of Dazai. The best thing about this inn is the amount of hot water! Both men and women are brimming with messages. When I asked why, I was convinced that it was to maintain the temperature since it was not heated. I visited during the summer, and the lukewarm water was the best! Although it is not a street stall, it feels nice to open the large windows completely. Oh, Dazai apparently complains in the novel that the hot water at this inn is lukewarm lol. And the rice was delicious! I can't eat it all! It wasn't a huge amount, but the duck meat, roast beef, etc. were great as snacks with alcohol. It cannot be denied that the facilities are old, but the real Showa retro, dizzying interior will make it irresistible for enthusiasts. It's a historical inn, I believe, dating back to the Edo period... go and check out the photos on display. There's also a story that once upon a time, there was a public bathhouse in the outbuilding... As a side note, Mr. Matayoshi, an Akutagawa Prize-winning author who loves Dazai, was also present. The refrigerator worked, the washlet worked on the second floor, and the vending machine was out of order, but there is a convenience store 3 minutes walk away. It seems like the hair dryer is reaching its limit 🙏🙏🙏It might be more convenient to bring your own if you have a car. The wife is a fun person, so you can have a good time. I stayed on the third floor, and according to the wife, the wooden floor above it, which is currently closed, was built by a carpenter at the time with all his heart, and for some reason, they can't renovate it. ,disappointing. Just because there seems to be a need. I look forward to seeing the light of day someday. This is a recommended inn! P.S. The wifi is quite strong and I was able to use Fire TV!

Osamu Dazai has been living here near Takeda Shrine for eight months as a newlywed with his wife Michiko. There are works such as ``One Hundred Views of Mount Fuji'' that are said to have been created here.Even when you are looking at the same scenery, it can look different depending on your mood at the time.Osamu Dazai meets geisha Sho Koyama in Tokyo, and the two divorce after Sho becomes unfaithful. At that time, I was looking at Mt. Fuji with great pain from my apartment in Tokyo. After spending 8 months here in Kofu with Michiko Ishihara as a newlywed, which started with an arranged marriage, I gazed at Mt. Fuji full of hope. After that, he turned a new leaf and produced positive works one after another, such as ``Female Dome'' and ``Hashire Melos.''The film depicts the changes in one's heart through encounters with people surrounding Mt. Fuji. The work "One Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji" is such a story...

Although the accommodation fee is very low, the food is delicious. It is also an inn connected to Osamu Dazai. You can read books and materials, so if you are interested, please come. The only negative point is that the shower in the bathroom is weak. Also, the air conditioner was a little loud. I don't know because it depends on the room, but it's a very nice accommodation for the price.
