In the middle of the three-day weekend in October, I suddenly needed a place to stay, so I stayed at a tent site here that didn't require reservations. I rushed in around 5pm and there was plenty of space at the free site. It's great to have a hot spring too.Half of the people on the free site are from other countries, a sight that shows firsthand the popularity of Kumano Kodo. This trail is not popular with Japanese people. The toilets and kitchen were clean. The majority of people enjoy camping, with only a minority of people hiking (using mountain tents).Of course it was noisy, but after taking a bath and eating dinner, I was able to go to bed right away without worrying about the noise. We finished eating around 4am, but since the campers were sleeping, we had to boil water on the alcohol stove (silent). If you only have gas, make hot water the day before (a Yamasen bottle is required) or prepare a breakfast that doesn't require hot water (difficult in fall and winter). If you are checking out early in the morning, you can simply drop the items that need to be returned into the mailbox. The reception seems to be open from 9:00 to 21:00.Since it's a campsite, you can buy a variety of things. There is a hot spring bath, a shop, and the kitchen and toilets are clean. This is a recommended campsite for both the night before and the night after. I forgot something important, the site usage fee of 1,500 yen includes unlimited access to the hot springs.

It says it's closed on Thursdays, but when you ask on Wednesdays, it says it's closed. No announcements, no phone calls.

We used the campsite. There is no need to include hot springs in the camping fee.In the past, accessing free sites was prohibited, but now it seems possible when there are few users. It's a bit of a walk from the hot spring center to the campsite, but it's a good distance for a walk after taking a bath.Since the camp was in the summer, I was able to play in the river without any regrets.

I couldn't take a bath because the bath was broken. So I went to Yumine Onsen for the first time in a while and took a bath in the renovated medicinal bath. This is ★★★★★

I stayed in a cottage. There was a kotatsu heater, so the room was warm even in winter. The staff were all friendly and there was a good selection of rental items, so even I, a beginner at camping, was able to have fun.At night, the starry sky was beautiful and the best.I want to go again.

It was my first time camping, but it was raining all day, so I gave up on setting up a tent, had a barbecue in the kitchen, and slept in my car. Wi-Fi is connected, which is very convenient. You can use the hot springs as much as you like, and I was told that I could enter the hot springs even after checking out at 11:00, so I went there at 12:30.I also want to go pitch a tent sometime soon. I didn't make it in time for the cherry blossom season, but...
