Used in late March. If you don't use bug spray, tiny bugs will gather around your face and get stuck in your blinking eyes. I had no choice but to drive to downtown Otake and buy some spray and mosquito coils. Does the administrator have a number to use? When I told him that a bear had recently been seen, I was so nervous that I couldn't sleep. There are a lot of fallen pine cones and dead branches, but on the other hand, it is a campsite where wildfires are a concern. The manager tells me to be careful of fires and bears.

Used when climbing Mt. Mikuradake. It's more of a campground than a campsite. At night there is no light and it is pitch black.

It was so beautiful and has a great hiking trail to the peaks of the mountain! They also are animal friendly since I didn’t see any other comments about if they allow dogs or not.

Summer climbing.Although it is a pecan, there are few insects and the mountain trail is paved, making it a good place for summer mountain climbing ⛰️The best view is from Nakaoka from Mt. Yuhidake. The photo is Nakaoka

Used it on my bike in the summer before the coronavirus.I was told that it would be possible to park on the road for a short time to sort out my belongings, but the site looks like rice terraces and I can't use a cart, so it would be difficult if I wasn't nearby.Of course, I parked my bike in the parking lot in front of the administration building and had to walk to my site.Of course, being close to the road makes it easier to move in, but the noise from car exhausts will ruin the atmosphere.The environment is mountainous and atmospheric, but the access to town is good.I still have fond memories of waking up early in the morning to the wonderful chirping of the black-crowned night heron and going back to sleep.

There are about 90 lots. We inspected them first, decided on a site, and submitted the report. Since we had a lot of luggage, we chose a place near the parking lot, but it was about 100 meters away. The new toilet was Western-style, which helped, but I have bad knees... ( ^^;

This was my first time camping. It was free, the areas were clearly marked, and the new toilets were Western-style. The manager warned me to be careful about fires and bears, so I camped with bear spray. Since Iwakuni is so close, there were no US military planes. It passes well in the sky.
