The lodge is run by the friendliest, most helpful family we have had the pleasure of meeting. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble and we were treated like royalty the whole stay. The family even bought our 2 kids gifts on our departure. We will definitely be back.

Three of us went to Hunter Lodge for dinner on 2 March 2024. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, however, a Yakitori dish didn’t arrive so I asked a staff that it was missing. The guy who looks like an owner rushed out the kitchen and started blaming us that it was already served. It was obvious that the dish had not been served and staff also said they didn’t recall to bring the dish.He left without anything but puzzled and frustrated us for their mistakes. After 10 minutes or so, the dish arrived. A staff brought it apologetically. When paying the bill, no apology was made so I told the cashier the owner should have apologised for his mistake at least. An enjoyed dinner turned sour because of the owner’s arrogant behaviour. Especially he should behave in front of a young child.Never visit again.

Last time my son rented a restroom, while I was waiting outside, my son was yelling at the store owner for some reason inside the store. When he noticed me outside, he yelled at me and yelled at me for not being able to discipline my child. He was quite furious. It seems that the child (junior high school student) did not say thank you to the store owner after borrowing the restroom. When I asked him why he apologized and left the place without saying hello to the child,My son seemed to think the shop owner was a customer of the shop, and when he came out of the bathroom, they made eye contact, but he just walked past without saying a word. After that, things unfolded as described above. The point is that there was a mutual misunderstanding. My son is not shy and can greet anyone. Apparently, he was so surprised by the sudden yelling that he couldn't come up with an excuse. He ended up unilaterally yelling at my son and loudly abusing me as a parent. This is the true nature of a shopkeeper.

An accommodation runs by a family, everyone there is so kind and friendly. I went there for a snowboarding trip, one of my favourite thing is the drying room always tidy, clean and warm. Moreover, dinner and breakfast are delicious, room is clean and cozy. Generally, I have a great time there. I’ll stay there for sure once I go back for snowboarding.

The host was kind and accommodating, and we had a pleasant two-night stay. The women's bath was small and it took a long time to wait in line.If a large bath is occupied by almost half women, I would like it to be able to be used as a women's bath.

Had an amazing stay! I booked last minute for 3 nights with my boyfriend and we were welcomed and cared for by the beautiful Japanese family who run the inn. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure that we felt comfortable and were prepared for our snow adventure <3.
