I have never stayed at the hotel, but there is a cafe next to the hotel called "Cafe Ciel" that is open in the summer. I came here for a snack since it was within walking distance from Tangram. The cafe was run by a very kind-hearted man who made pizza that even vegetarians could enjoy (although it wasn't on the menu). Thank you, uncle!

A hotel with neither extremely bad nor good points. If I had something to do near this hotel, I might use it again, but I won't be coming back to stay at this hotel. The baths are small compared to the number of guests, and there aren't many washing areas, so even the men's baths are empty. The food and service were neither bad nor good. The room is for 4 people, so it's spacious enough for 2 people. It doesn't have any characteristics anyway.

I used it to celebrate my husband's birthday, who loves snowboarding. I only stayed for one night, but I had a great time!I have been to various ski resorts, but this was my first time at Madarao.A bus leaves from the station and stops right in front of the hotel. When you arrive, you will fill out your guest information at the front desk, and the hall will be opened as a waiting room for arriving guests, so you can leave your luggage and go straight to the slopes. The rental shop wasn't too crowded and I was able to rent it smoothly, as I'm sure there are certain times of the year. The ski slope is right in front of the hotel, and it's on a slight slope, so you can ski without having to get on the lift first, and you can warm up easily. When you finish skiing, go directly into the ski room from outside and store your board. The process is smooth: check in at the front desk, move your luggage from the waiting room, change clothes, and head to the hot springs.・When you're tired after playing, you can change into slippers right away in the ski room.・You can take water from the water server back to your room using a kettle.・The deposit fee can be applied directly to the bathing fee after check-out.I really appreciate the attention to detail. The hot spring (women's bath) had one indoor bath and one open-air bath, and although it was not large, it was spacious enough and the hot water was excellent. Especially in the open-air bath, the difference between the outside temperature and the temperature of the hot water was extremely pleasant. The women's bath has a high partition to prevent it from being seen from outside, so you can't see much of the view, but the rising steam and the open feeling of the sky was pleasant.I enjoyed it after dinner and after checking out the next day.Dinner was buffet style, and I didn't have high expectations as I didn't have any prior information, but my expectations were exceeded in a good way, with a well-balanced selection of vegetables, protein, and local produce! The menu included roast beef, seafood dishes, curry rice, soba noodles, and local dishes with explanations that would please tourists.I had ordered a birthday cake after dinner, so I kept the sweets and carbohydrates to a minimum, but there was also unlimited ice cream...If I had known in advance, I think I would have made the cake one size smaller lol.I also reserved a cake in advance over the phone, and they were very kind in explaining the types and delivery methods in detail. Apparently it's from Iiyama's popular patisserie, and it was very delicious! There are cafes, shops, and restaurants inside the hotel, so it was great to spend some time before departure.*I would be happy if the Wi-Fi connection became a little easier! The facility itself is not new or luxurious, but in addition to the great location, the overall hospitality was high, and I felt that the hotel was designed from the user's perspective.Next time, I would like to use it again when night games are also held!

Update on 13 Mar, 2024 - I encountered significant challenges during my stay at the hotel. Despite relying on the provided bus schedule for my travel plans from Madarao to Myoko Kogen on 3rd March, I discovered that the scheduled bus had ceased operation on 1st March. When I approached the reception for assistance, I was informed that I should have checked the bus company's website for the most up-to-date information and that the hotel does not take responsibility for bus operations. Furthermore, their suggestion of taking a taxi for a 1-hour journey to Myoko Kogen added to the inconvenience.THIS HOTEL IS NOT EVEN WORTH FOR 1 STAR!!_______________________________________Location: excellent, ski in and out, bus stop just outside the hotelRoom: ok condition, not enough lighting in the roomFood: buffet style, food are not badWe had reserved a package for 4 people (2 couples) which included a specific condition: staying in separate rooms on the first night and moving to a 4-person room on the second night. Upon check-in, the reception informed us that we could stay in separate rooms for both nights, which initially pleased us. However, around noon on the second day, we received a call instructing us to vacate one of the rooms, as all 4 of us were to stay in one room on the second night. This sudden change necessitated a complete room cleanup and incurred a late check-out fee. We were disappointed that this information was not communicated during check-in, as it resulted in a rushed return from the ski field. Had we been informed earlier, we would have packed up in the morning and transitioned to the other room. The lack of an apology and the implication that we should have been aware of these details added to our frustration.Make sure it is all clear when check in or just avoid this hotel.

A company with no motivation, including the general affairs staff. The male staff at the rental shop is a very inexperienced person. He is unable to reflect, has no self-awareness, and is self-centered.

The hotel location is excellent to enjoy Madarao Kogen ski resort. Very convenient place to stay for skiers. The facility is not bad exception it feels a bit crowded in the onsen. The floor service was a terrible nightmare in my trip. The booking was 2 rooms at first night and 1 room at second night. During check-in the floor staff did not confirm our booking and not remind us on the needs for next day checkout. Instead she gave me 2 days of meal tickets for 2 rooms. It was confusing and I thought we got 2 rooms for 2 days. Then in the next day she called me many times when I was in the mountain and interrupted us to clear one of the room. It surprised us more that she started putting the responsibility on us and charging us late checkout. The late checkout charge was unreasonable. At last we spent and hour during the day to do the clean up.

This is about the rental shop inside Madarao Kogen Hotel. |I want to be careful about the employee named K who works there. |He has a bad attitude and bad reputation, and I feel very bad about him. …
