The owner is always kindI often use it for overnight stays and day trip bathing.The old building has only hot springs, and the new building has guest rooms and a common room (meals available).Of particular note is the milky white sulfur hot springs.There are two private baths, use whichever is available (estimated use is 1 hour)There are two washing areas, one for shampoo and body soap, and one for face washing.Soaking in hot water with a sulfur smell will relieve your fatigue.If the water is hot, stir it with a hot water massager.The floorboards of the bathtub are slippery due to the slime of sulfur, so please be careful when walking slowly.In winter, there is a stove in the changing room, so please be careful when traveling with small children.Meals are not provided as this is a room without meals, but if you miss a meal, don't worry, they sell alpha rice, etc. that you can eat by pouring hot water over.Most people seem to go to a nearby restaurant, but you are also welcome to bring your own food.Hot water, microwave, coffee and tea are available in the common room.

The cloudy hot springs are wonderful, flowing directly from the source and open 24 hours a day. Also ideal for use in hot spring treatments. (I took the hot springs home in a plastic bottle and enjoyed the sulfur scent at home.)There's a nice communal wash basin, tap water, and the drinking water comes from mountain springs, which is gentle on the skin and delicious.I was impressed with how well the cleaning was done. Also, the furniture in the room was cute, so I felt comfortable.There are no meals provided, but you can bring your own (there is a microwave and refrigerator), there are restaurants nearby, and although you have to lay out the futon and clean up yourself, you can feel at home and have a relaxing time, the quality of the hot springs, and the friendly owner. It's an inn that you'll want to visit again and again for its atmosphere.The autumn leaves were late this year, but thank you for letting me know about the special places. (Used on 10/19-20)

Had a great stay here. We reached late night and forgot to buy dinner on our way. I would recommend to eat or pack some food on the way.The natural osen was pretty good. I hope I can visit again someday.

Visited early Feb, and the place was superb. Great location to good soba and nice japanese food with sumptuous food portion. Starry nights and super friendly host who was so accommodating. The cherry on the cake was definitely the access to private onsen!

The quality of the hot spring water is excellent. You can relax as it is reserved for private use.If the weather is good, you can see the starry sky at night. No joke, it's a natural planetarium. I was impressed.A lot of things are self-service and it's a guesthouse-style pension, which is refreshing.When I went to Kamikochi, I was really glad that the owner kindly advised me and I was able to follow the recommended route without hesitation.I would definitely stay here again.I was told that there were no convenience stores more than 30 minutes away by car, so I almost ran out of food that day, but after walking around the area, I found a 24-hour unmanned store just 2.3 minutes away by car. . Apparently it was recently created. This is also really helpful.So, if you arrive late, please refer to that as well.
