This was such a wonderful place the to stay, the cabin really had everything we needed. It was spotless, the beds were comfortable and fully equipped. The host was also very kind. My husband forgot some items and they were kind enough to mail it to us.

The room is clean and tidy, smells of cypress, you can cook, the boss is very kind, you can see squirrels and various birds in the morning, recommended!

The room is special, the woody aroma makes you feel happy, and it's so clean that you don't want to dirty it. When you open the curtains in the morning, you can see various birds flying to the branches in front! If you are lucky you can see squirrels. Located on a high ground with a view of the sea, the boss is very enthusiastic and speaks English! There is only one suggestion for travelers who are interested in staying here. You need to bring your own toothbrush, other facilities are complete, and you can cook and eat by yourself. Come and stay here, you will definitely not be disappointed! 👍

A very charming and cosy stay in Abashiri!Not your cookie cutter-hotel/ryokan but it has all the creature comfort in a spacious cabin. I would stay at least 2N the next time I’m back in Abashiri!The owner, Kaiya-san, speaks relatively good English and is very friendly. He lives in the house beside the trailer.We were initially worried how we were supposed to gain entry since there wasn’t the usual hotel check in front desk. We received a message via Agoda asking us to call a local number to inform of our arrival time. But as it was a Sunday by the time we saw the message, we couldn’t get through the number and we were already on our way there.Luckily, on our arrival, Kaiya-san heard us and came out to greet us. He gave us an orientation on the door access and what’s in the cabin and how to use them.It’s nice that the cabin’s fully equipped like a normal home. A sofa with TV, dining table, kitchenette with all sorts of utensils, induction top, fridge etc. The bathtub is similar to the ryokans so you can have a nice soak as well. We headed to the supermarket in downtown Abashiri and bought some meat and food to cook breakfast, the first time we did that in Hokkaido.There’s a bird feeder by the cabin so you can bird watch from the comfort of one of the beds. The other bed offers a sea and mountain view.Kaiya-san gave us recommendations on where to have our dinner (but it was Sunday and some were closed) and even made a reservation for us.It’s 8 minutes’ drive or 37 minutes walk to the busy street of Tsugushigaoka where all the major shops are (City Supermarket, Food Master, Uniqlo, McDonald’s, Mos Burger etc). So if you are not driving, this won’t be the most convenient. But if you are, it’s the perfect, refreshing place to stay.We definitely look forward to returning and staying here again!

EXECELLENT!!Lovely place, great host, spectacular view and fantastic location!The host has furnished the place with a lot of necessary amenities. I especially love the shampoo and the body foam! They smell great!! Maps and brochures of local attractions are also provided by the host and could be found inside the property. These are very helpful materials.The host, Mr. Takayoshi, is very friendly and warm. He made us felt welcomed the moment we arrived on the property.The place is great but I would say Mr. Takayoshi's warmth and friendliness has made it even better!Would definitely choose to stay there if we were to visit Abashiri again!Thank you, Mr. Takayoshi!

Stayed for one night on the last day of our honeymoon.It had been a while since I had stayed in a hotel, so I didn't feel relaxed in the room, but this guesthouse made me feel at home.Scandinavian-made double-walled windows do not allow outside temperature to pass through at all, so even in the middle of winter, you can spend time indoors with just the air conditioner🫢The guest house can only be used by one group, and it is the perfect size for two people, neither too large nor too small, and the sink, bathroom, washroom, and toilet are spotless✨I felt that the owner took good care of the property.We saw some interesting things in the morning, and it was a great stay. Next time I would like to visit during the drift ice season.

It's a very nice guest house. We had a beautiful and very comfortable time. We had a panoramic view of Abashiri Port and the Shiretoko Mountain Range. If the time is right, I think you can see drift ice. The view from the window is also very luxurious. Recommended as a base for your trip to the mysterious Okhotsk area. Another point is that it is close to the center of Abashiri city.
