I stayed here to go to Kamikochi.It's late July, and the weather is so pleasant even though the heat approaches 40 degrees Celsius in many parts of Japan.The temperature and humidity were just right, reminding me of the good old summers.As mentioned in other comments, the owner was a wonderful person and I was really glad I stayed here.The BBQ at night was large enough to fill a hungry adult man, and both the meat and vegetables were delicious! It's great to eat outside in a pleasant climate and atmosphere.You can purchase beer here for ¥300 and chuhai for around ¥200. There were also soft drinks available.They also had cup ramen and potato chips, so don't worry if you get hungry.There are two baths, both of which can be reserved for 30 to 40 minutes.It felt great to take a bath surrounded by the forest. You can see the starry sky at night.There is no air conditioning in the room, but it was cool so I had no problem sleeping at night.Breakfast is delicious kamameshi, and thankfully there's a lot of it, so if you have any leftover, you can wrap it in saran wrap and make it into a rice ball.There was a large TV in the hall, and since it was during the Paris Olympics, I was able to relax and watch it.It's a wonderful facility where you can experience summer vacation like you used to, even as an adult.I will definitely visit again.thank you very much.

I stayed with my family for one night on November 4th. The owner was very kind, the room was clean, and there was floor heating, so it was very comfortable. There were two baths and it was very comfortable. We are very sorry that we are not open in winter, but we will come again next year, so we hope to see you there.

Best owner ever. That place is very traditional Japanese style. Wish I has the time to spend a whole week there. Very good memories and my clothes still smell like the fire he made for us🤗💯🌄

The owner is very friendly and kind man. He can give you a good advice for your trip. If you have a breakfast plan and you need to leave early, you can ask him to make “bento” lunch box instead, so that you can take it with you in the morning. The bath was my favorite part. You can take a bath with your family. You can also see lots of stars from bath window. There is free tea and water. You will not regret it!

I used it when walking around Kamikochi.The owner's personality is very nice.I think the building is a certain number of years old, but it was well kept and I was able to spend a comfortable time there.The BBQ was also great!Highly recommended 👌

A lodge for people who climb mountains and do road trails. You can hear the footsteps of people leaving from around 3am. There are 3 baths with washing areas on the 2nd floor and a comfortable family-sized cypress bath with a spacious feel on the 1st floor.

Great lodge house with polite and friendly service. Tree house outside, bbq and rental bicycles. Two indoor onsens. Located on the foothills of Mt.Norikura!
