This was my first time using a bar. There were two staff members, a man and a woman. The young female staff member was charming and easy to talk to, but the male staff member was unfriendly and had a bad attitude that made me uncomfortable. If the store has rules and I didn't follow them, I think it's my fault. The male staff member was extremely unfriendly towards me, but he was smiling at a middle-aged man who arrived later, as if he was trying to flatter me. I want them to remember that they are in the customer service industry and treat them equally.

I visited by using the bar.One of the few shops where you can drink Yoshikawa Brewery's Amefuri.I was thrilled to be reunited with Mr. Umajo, the best bartender I met in Hakone!

7 seats at the bar. Very cool look and atmosphere; definitely don’t dress down.¥1000 cover charge per person. Nihonshu cocktails are around ¥1,600/¥1,800 each and are made with great care.A little lonely for drinking alone.

The bar is tucked away and if you’re silly like me, the door is neither push nor pull but SLIDING.Once you’re inside, it is a cozy, intimate and a beautifully curated space with wood everywhere. As beautiful as the space are the drinks.I had a smoked sake cocktail and my partner ordered the vague “fruity cocktail” with a focus on citrus. We were both blown away by our drinks, truly like drinking art.Our bartender Yuki was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and his expertise shone through in each drink. We had previously stayed in the apartment upstairs. Great location, had everything we needed, we didn’t get a chance to go the bar the first time. Sure are glad we came back to try it!Highly recommend for a memorable date night :)
