Overall, it's okay. The room is not too small. At least the luggage can be spread out and the things are quite complete. However, it feels like it's an old house. The cleaning part is a little not attentive. Others are fine ~

Service was great, rooms were good, place was very small but expected in Tokyo. Would stay again, but location wasn't great - that was only based on where we were out and about. Walking distance to trains - only 2 / 3 mins.

I booked 2 rooms (#101 and #102) with the host for a party of 6 including my elderly mother and 2 teens.Problem started when we arrived in Tokyo to check in. The address link shared by the host took us to a spot that was a mile away from the train stn and some distance away from the room. This was a tough experience with my elderly mother and it took more than 2 hours to finally arrive at the room by taxi. From there it got worse after I entered one of the rooms:-room was in bad condition and it looked like everything was done with cheap materials and labor-the front door lock was not super stable and secure-there was no separate bathroom sink; looked like bathroom and kitchen had to share the same sink-we saw a sign saying kettle could not be used at the same time as the heater (assuming this referred to the stove)-worst part was that the room smelled awful and smoky. There was also strong food smell in the rooms possibly from a restaurant near the building. My son who is asthmatic had a fit after 15 minutes in the room.We decided not to stay in the room and managed to book 2 hotel rooms (at a much higher rate due to last minute booking).I contacted the host and explained the situation. I also requested a refund since we never stayed there but my request was declined.I then reached out to VRBO and they contacted the host as well but their refund request was denied as well. VRBO is not offering any additional support. I will never use VRBO again.
