I used it on a solo trip! The location is good, close to Akama Shrine, the aquarium, and restaurants, so I enjoyed it✨Also, it's close to the sea, and the view from the rooftop is amazing both in the morning and at night🫶It was a good idea to rent a bicycle at a reasonable price of 800 yen all day💛 I stayed for 2 nights in a dormitory, so I was a little worried about leaving my luggage in the room. The staff were all wonderful and I would like to visit again ♪ The cafe was also good 👍

Good value for money, but the location is too remote. There are only 2 shared shower rooms, which is very inconvenient. Still, the common spaces are very neat and clean, so it would be nice to relax on the rooftop terrace when the weather is cool.

Stayed with family and the room was dormitory style bunker bed with very good views of Shimonoseki strait at the roof top, accessible to fish market and restaurants. We enjoyed stying at this hotel.

I stayed in a superior room.First, when I arrived at the room, it smelled like cigarettes. It didn't say it was a non-smoking room, but I guess it was a smoking room...Also, the air conditioner had a musty smell and there seemed to be a lot of dust around the edges of the room.There were things that looked like human nails on the bed, so I pulled a sheet over me and went to bed, but I couldn't get to sleep.The photos looked pretty clean, so I had high expectations...The price was 4,500 yen per person, but I felt it was expensive because there were so many disappointing things.Please make improvements for future guests.

I booked a deluxe room both times. It's spacious and has a great view, comparable to a hotel suite, with great night views of the Kanmon Strait and Moji Port. You can eat the food you brought with you on the rooftop while enjoying the view, and when you look down from your room's balcony, you'll see the ocean that gives you a sense of Dan-no-ura's history.The currents are such that many large ships pass by and the children are very excited. Since Karato Market is very close within walking distance, we recommend eating sushi while taking a walk early in the morning. In terms of service, it's a hostel, so you have to provide everything yourself, but the deluxe rooms are treated the same as a hotel, and towels and toothbrushes are provided.

It's a clean dormitory. This is probably due to the efforts and dedication of the staff. The location is perfect as a base for exploring Karato, the aquarium, and Mojiko. The free space on the 6th floor offers a panoramic view of Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Straits, and you can bring your own drinks to enjoy. UZUHOUSE is the only place like this in the whole country.

The cost performance was the best.The water area and bed were clean.When I went there (June 2023), there weren't many people, so I didn't have to worry about it that much and it was comfortable.You can also use the kitchen freely.

Use the cafe on the 1st floor for takeoutA cup of coffee costs 470 yen, and the female staff member carefully brews it for me.The taste of coffee is more bitter than sour and deep, making it very easy to drink.I want to visit again!

I think it can't be helped because it's cheap, but there's no space around the bed to store your luggage, and eating and drinking is prohibited in the room.There are no vending machines to buy drinks.You cannot go up to the rooftop after 10pm.In the morning, when an employee pays the bill, they say thank you.There were no words.

A hostel with views of Kanmon Bridge and Fukuoka Moji Port from the terrace, and walking distance from Karato Market.The interior was very nice and it was very comfortable.The first floor is a common spaceCafe space on the second floorAccommodation is on the 3rd to 5th floors.There is a terrace on the roofThere are two types of dormitory: unisex and women only.With bunk beds, there was a wide range of customers, including people from overseas!I'm a little concerned about the noise from the creaking bunk beds and the fact that it faces the road.I don't think it will bother you if you bring earplugs.There is no convenience store nearby, so I think it would be a good idea to buy drinks etc. in advance.

I booked a private room, but the bathroom and shower were shared...You have to go upstairs to shower...No insect screen.It would have been dangerous to fall out of the window since it was only connected to a wooden beam without a railing...And the red-lit shrine visible outside. I thought there was a ghost...It's a private room, so you have to put on your own pillows and mattress covers.The convenience store is about a 20-minute walk...The outlet doesn't work, so charge your phone far away from the mattress...I made a reservation after looking at the Booking.com rating, but was disappointed...

Friendly staff, special location and great views.It’s quiet and comfortable during the week, and during the holidays I meet up with family members and students to travel together. Maybe it has something to do with the opening hours of Karato Market! ?There is a FamilyMart convenience store next to the Tango Ferry Port, and there is a supermarket in Sunlive at the intersection of Tango Shopping Street.If you wake up early in the morning, you can go to the top floor to watch the sunrise.

First of all, the location is good and it seems like a good accommodation for 1-2 people!! The facility itself is very clean, and there are many facilities that can be used other than the room, such as the lounge on the first floor and the shared kitchen on the sixth floor. I used a private room for two people, and it was perfect for the two of us. The shared shower room and restroom on the women's floor were also very clean and nice! It seems that not only tourists but also Japanese locals use it, and I was able to meet various Japanese people in the kitchen, which left me with happy memories!Also, there are different people at the counter on the first floor every time, but the lady on Saturday and Sunday mornings was very kind!! There were even people who spoke Korean on Sunday!!The location is close to Karato Market and the bridge, so it's great to stop by Mojiko! It is possible to rent an electric bicycle, and the price is cheap, so I was able to ride a bicycle to Mojiko.

I used the Seishun 18 ticket on a trip with my elementary school daughter.Uzu House was born as a fully renovated 43-year-old Japanese-style inn in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. There are private rooms and dormitories. This time I chose a private room.The view of Kanmon Strait from the room was the best. The view from the rooftop is also great. Akama Jingu Shrine, where Emperor Antoku was enshrined, is right in front of the property, popular tourist spots Karato Market and Kaikyokan are within walking distance, and Moji Port on the opposite shore is easily accessible.There is also a cafe, library, and kitchen, so we were able to make some great memories.The beauty of the Kanmon Strait in the morning, seen from the rooftop while drinking coffee on the sofa or table, is something I will remember for the rest of my life.
