First, we start with the positives. The hotel is new, clean, and the staff service is excellent. The location of the hotel connected to the Grand Batam Mall and its proximity to many places is considered a positive thing.As for the negatives that made me cancel my reservation for the last day and move to a second hotel, it is Cataly: The sound insulation in the rooms is very weak, even though I lived on the twenty-second floor, which is the last floor in the hotel, but the sounds of cars and tanks reach me in the room as if I were sleeping on the sidewalk π«. The second problem is the thermal insulation of the rooms and the glass of the balconies. As soon as daylight breaks, the room temperature rises to the point that I wake up from sleep because of the high heat coming from the glass, even though I set the air conditioning to the highest cold setting. The third problem is that the curtains in the room do not block the light enough. The fourth problem is that breakfast is not diverse and is mostly limited to Asian food.I hope that the hotel solves these problems to attract visitors because, to be honest, it is considered a beautiful hotel, but these problems that affect the comfort of the stay do not make the visitor think about returning to the hotel again. Thank you

We chose this hotel on our first visit to Batam island as I am an Ascott member and heard it had recently opened so wanted to check it out as we passed through Singapore to celebrate our wedding anniversary.Β β¦

The rooms are clean, neat and comfortable. The hotel staff are very friendly. Very good service. Very interesting hotel details. Everything is wooden. Starting from card room keys made of wood, toothbrushes with wooden sticks, combs with wooden sticks and so on.

That was a great place to enjoy the sunset and well drink. We just came for coffee time and dont expect get great service from the server. Thankyou Dinda for the nice cappucino. We'll come back again after this moment. love oakwood.

Hotel is so convenient with just a few steps to Grand Batam Mall from hotel. Very clean hotel w/good service. I recommend to go Alantis m/Derp Sea beach club with good & affordable dining and family with children are also welcome there (should say its a must visit placeπ!Last but not least, we are giving the F&B supervisor, Mr Dwi a 100% fantastic good service provided to guestsπππ. He is super caring, polite and efficient. Hopefully the mgnt will look into his good and hard work contributed. Good luck to you Mr Dwi. Will come again.

Half way through my reservation. And I have been experiencing a rather disappointing services since I arrived.1. Misinformation from the staff. I have to pay extra charge which different from the information they had given me before. I have the proof on my whatsapp.2. No compensation at all to all the misinformation did by the staff.3. I asked for extra bed which came with breakfast. When I requested to get my bfast to my room cos my mom have to take her medicine, the restaurant said that my room reservation do not get breakfast. Seriously!! What is wrong with the people here??4. FYI, small flies (I think it's fruit flies) everywhere in the room since I got here. How can new building filled with small flies???Your staff really needs to be train. All of them. Especially when giving information to customers and communication flow. REALLY!! Bad Service!!!Despite the good location and rooms, this will be my firts and LAST time coming to Oakwood Grand Batam.

Hotel service is really good. Was given an early check-in and served well by maya who was helpful and friendly.Stayed in the executive room which is very clean and spacious. Our used kitchen tools were cleaned by the make up crew, room is tidy.Hotel is right next to grand batam mall and has a L2 direct link. Super convenient location.I highly recommend staying at the hotel as it has made our batam trip more cozy and comfortable.

AMAZING! AMAZING! AND SUPER AMAZING! This is the best hotel in batam hands down, from location to service to facilities. Everything is great. I cannot stay anywhere else in batam anymore. Great water pressure, water temp is consistent. They have rain shower and shower head so its great for kids too, pillows are soft and comfy, plugs are international with usb and usb c plug points. Lighting options were perfect. Rooms were not big but sufficient space for ur luggage. The toiletries smelled great. Hair dryer is powerful. I had the most wonderful stay. Thank u Oakwood Grand Batam!

A very good hotel and extraordinary beauty, especially close to GRAND BATAMπ, plus the vibes on the 8th Floor Roof Pool area are very nice when it's sunset or in the afternoon and suitable for taking selfies or relaxing with friends/family/friends or girlfriends πOakwood is truly the best Hotel & Apartment!!ππ₯

One of my most excellent stays in Batam. Rooms very v clean and new, Salsa, the receptionist was SUPERB, and service was great.Areas to consider for improvement1. Hotel has designated the area just outside their restaurant on the 8 floor as a smoking area. This is right next to the kid's pool. Not good for folks wanting to exercise to fresh air.2. Connection to Grand Batam via 5 floor carpark is great - however, that seems to be the smoking area for staff.3. Can improve the breakfast selection to include more live stations.
