It was my first time visiting Dorogawa Onsen, but for some reason I felt like I had returned to my hometown, and the food was delicious, with flavors that go perfectly with sake. The local sake was very dry, and I was so full that my stomach was pounding.

This is a hot spring inn with a very traditional atmosphere. You'll feel like you've traveled back in time. There is no air conditioning, the futons are thin, and insects are common in the common areas. There is bug spray in the room.Although it was the Obon season, we had a comfortable night and morning with no air conditioning and just a fan. It's a space where time seems to have stopped, so it has a great atmosphere. The staff were very kind and cordial. The hot spring is small, but the temperature is very satisfying. It's small so it's best to go when there are no people around. There was a huge variety of food, and everything was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. It's a reasonable price in an area where there are many expensive inns, so if you don't mind air conditioning, insects, or futons, it's a very good inn.

I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in a corner room with a view of the garden in the annex.Even though it was my first time here, it was a very nice room with a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere.I was surprised that the washroom and toilet were shared, but it didn't bother me that much.We had Yamato chicken mizutaki, sukiyaki, and Yamato beef kaiseki dishes, and they were all delicious. In particular, it was my first time to eat chicken sukiyaki, and the Yamato meat chicken had a chewy texture similar to gamecock, and it was delicious and delicious. The hot springs were very nice, the water was soft and the temperature was just right. This time, when I made the reservation, I asked about transportation to Tenkawa Daibenzaitensha and the trailhead of Mt. Thank you very much for your help. thank you very much.

I managed to make a reservation two months in advance on May 5th, right in the middle of Golden Week, and went there for the first time. This year's Golden Week was the first lively Golden Week in a while, and the resorts in all regions were packed with people and cars, even around Dorogawa Onsen. I arrived before 1:00 pm and the place to park my car was full of day-trip hot spring guests, so I drove for about 5 minutes to a field, so I temporarily parked there until the number of day-trippers decreased, and the inn gave me a ride. I did. Later, the car moved again near the inn. Masugen Ryokan has an annex on both sides of the main building, and we stayed in the annex. It seems that the bath is only in the annex, and people in the main building come to the annex to enter. The atmosphere of the inn was extremely nostalgic and full of the Showa era atmosphere, and I was prepared for a lot of ambient noise, which is common in wooden buildings, but I didn't hear any unpleasant noises at all. It felt like I could hear the moderate sound of the murmuring of the river. If you turn on the lights in your room at night, insects will come into your room. It would be nice if there was no-mat insecticide. If I didn't have curtains, insects would come in from everywhere. There is no toilet sink in the room. The shared toilets are separated by male and female curtains, so women may be a little worried or dissatisfied. The above are just a few points of dissatisfaction. What I was satisfied with was that the staff were all very pleasant and I was always able to spend a pleasant time there. Dinner seems to be available from 6:00pm or 6:30pm. The time limit is 90 minutes. I made sukiyaki of local chicken. I didn't really like chicken skin, so I was a little worried, but the taste was great. The amount was too much for us😅There were 4 raw eggs in total and they were all fresh and delicious. Breakfast is served either at 7:30 or 8:00.The important thing is that the hot springs are slippery and full of alkaline ingredients, so I was satisfied with the soak. The capacity was a bit empty when 5 or 6 people entered, but there were several types of shampoo conditioners such as shampoo bars. There is a shelf in the changing room, but it is not locked, so it is best not to bring valuables with you.The door to the room is of the type that cannot be unlocked unless you push it and turn it, which brings back nostalgia to people from the Showa era.Unless you have high expectations for modern equipment and systems, you'll likely be dissatisfied with them, but you should do your homework before going. The bed had a futon spread out when I entered the room. There are no beds. The pillow was tall and made of buckwheat hulls, which I liked. When I returned to my room after breakfast, the futon had been put away. It was midsummer and extremely hot during the day, but the temperature will drop rapidly in the evening, so it's a good idea to bring an extra layer. There was no one in the bathroom, so I took a photo.

Sukiyaki for dinner is exquisite. We recommend staying with dinner rather than just staying overnight. Satisfied with taste and quantity.

It was a quiet inn in the mountains.Although it is a retro Showa-era inn, there are some inconveniences, but they are minor. The food was plentiful and delicious. The people in the village are all very nice, and the townscape is quaint.I wanted to go again.

This is a nice inn that has an atmosphere of elegance and an unusual feel, yet is very relaxing.I was able to enjoy the taste of the shared water area and the fact that I could hear voices easily. For dinner, Yamato beef and sashimi are both delicious and filling. The wife was young, friendly, and cheerful, and we had a lot of fun talking to each other, so it was a great trip.
