The townscape is so impressive that you can almost see the inns of Shugendo practitioners and the long-established Daranisuke stores lined up here...If the roads weren't paved, it would be even more atmospheric...

The Ryokan is authentic, clean, beautiful and has a very unique and peaceful charm. The host is very kind and english ist not a problem. The food was very good and you can choose the time whenever u want to eat. And the bath is gorgeous, you can use it private too (perfect for couples/tattoos since onsen are nearly always separated by gender). And it is not expensive at all, plus the location is in the heart of Doragawa Onsen. I can‘t say a single bad thing about it. The host even gave us a map and told us what we can do here and when we left he prepared 2 bottles of Doragawas special water. Can only recommend this place!!

I came to Dorogawa Onsen for the first time. This inn feels like home. Time slip to the Showa era! The toilet and washroom are shared, and there is an open-air bath and an indoor bath.If you put up a private rental sign, you can enter at your leisure. The meals are also prepared by my mother, and each dish is made with care. delicious~~.As well as the side dishes, the white rice was fluffy and sweet. It feels like going to a relative's house in the countryside.I had a visit to Amakawa Benzaiten the next day, so I made a reservation that included transportation.Thank you to everyone at Kinokuniya Jinpachi for your kind welcome 😊 I hope to see you again.

The botan hotpot was delicious, and the hot springs can be reserved for private use if the timing is right. The problem was that the larger toilet was small and difficult to use.
