Takuma-san and Yukino-san were amazing hosts in every way. Although my husband and I don’t really speak Japanese (thank you Google Translate), they were warm and kind. Takuma-san renovated the place by himself! The food was also so delicious 🤤 The view alone is worth the trek into Hasami. It’s definitely a place I’d visit again when I get an international license.

So grateful to have such an unique traditional Japanese house living experience at ONIWA during my trip to Hasami this time. The traditional Japanese house is cozy and warm, we were surprised that the renovation was conducted by the host themselves when he showed us the pictures. The view from the house is stunning and relax, you can also see many stars from the terrace at night. During our stay, my husband and i had the most warm hospitality from the host family and we enjoyed the local food prepared by them as well as talking and having meals with their family together, this experience was so memorable and unique even though we can't speak Japanese very well.In the morning, we also have a chance to experience cooking rice using traditional oven, it was interesting and the rice are very delicious. I would like to come back again if we visit Hasami in the future.

Amazing hosts and amazing traditional Japanese dining and living experience!Went with two best friends and had the most warm hospitality. They provided seasonal and fresh ingredients for the meals, and each night we dined together with the family. They took us to local tea farm to taste and get some delicious Japanese green tea one morning. The house is beautiful and has everything we need for a relaxing and comfortable stay!We very much enjoyed this cultural immersive experience, felt so welcomed and taken care of, and would highly recommend with friends and family.

I have been interested in this inn for some time and decided to use it this time.If you want to stay in an experience-based accommodation, this is perfect. In the evening, I was relaxing and playing with four goats while feeling the nature in the countryside.Enjoy the ultimate delicious local game cuisine with drinks while sitting around the hearth with the owner's family. After filling your stomach, take a dip in the Goemon bath on the outdoor wooden deck illuminated by the moonlight, creating an atmosphere unlike any other.Late at night, I sit on a wooden chair in the living room and gaze out at the quiet countryside at night through the window glass, feeling a sense of bliss.the next morningWe had the opportunity to experience making pot rice over a fire, and the freshly cooked rice looked even more delicious as the gentle morning sunlight shining through the window illuminated the breakfast as it made use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients.Although I was filled with emotion, thinking it was like a scene from a movie, I was so surprised by how delicious the breakfast was that I ended up refilling four bowls of rice. Each experience was a valuable one, and I was able to experience rural life full of nature. The nature and the inn's presentation make it seem as if everything has been carefully calculated.I was simply moved and enjoyed the time filled with happiness. We had a wonderful time interacting with the kindness of the owner and his family.I hope to be able to use it again at some point in the future.

It was my first experience in a hands-on old folk house, so I was nervous, but the owner was very kind and I was able to relax right away.Stories about beneficial meals, special renovations, the very comfortable Goemon bath, cute children, goats...I can't express my gratitude enough for all the valuable and wonderful experiences I had.The scenery that can be seen varies depending on the season, so I would definitely like to visit you again 😊

I stayed here for my birthday. I used it last year and it was very good, so this year too ✨It is an old house that has been renovated, and I had a relaxing time in a very calming atmosphere. In the evening, we celebrated with a cake from a nearby cake shop. The food my wife made was so delicious that I ended up eating way too much.I will use it again next year!! ️

I wanted to enjoy the local atmosphere, so I chose to stay in an old private house. The inn, which the owner, an architect, spent two years renovating, has a large glass wall facing the terraced rice fields, and a large verandah where you can enjoy the view with your whole body.At night, we gather around the hearth and enjoy charcoal-grilled deer, wild boar, and other vegetables we've grown at home.In the morning, we also had the rice harvested cooked in a pot.We had a sumptuous breakfast. The children are not shy and often help out.It was fun to listen to various local stories with the owner and his wife over drinks. It was an inn that had everything about ideal country life.
