It was a site without power supply, far from the dam lake, and the view was the best. I was told that this site was the closest to the restroom, but it was quite a distance away. I was surprised to learn that I had to take my trash home with me, but it would cost ¥2,000 if I picked it up. The prices on the website were probably just to make it look cheap, but they were actually quite high. The actual price should be displayed.

Shirakawaso is a submerged forestIt's a bit of a shame that it has become so famous that it no longer has the tranquility and charm it used to have.I think it's a security concern for outsiders other than the people staying at the auto campsite to come into the campsite.

A ``submerged forest'' that only appears at this time of the year.Since I visited early in the morning, the fantastic scenery was spreading out.

I used a free site.Check-in is at 1:00 PM, so we arrived early around 12:00 PM, but it was quite crowded and there was almost no place to stay on the lakeside side.I don't think everyone is checking in early, and I think many people are getting in early. That was my impression. When I asked the manager to check if there were any vacancies on the auto site, I was immediately told that the site was full without even checking the reservation status, but when I went for a walk in the evening and went to see it, there were about 5 vacant lots, so I think it's just a sloppy management system. I think so.Also, at the free site, tourists were rushing through the site, and photographers were on duty from morning until night, so I never felt at ease all day long.Late at night, I could hear cars idling and engines making noise, but it felt like a lawless area where you could do whatever you wanted.I won't come again.

You could see the submerged forest and the light up at night was also fantastic.Even though I'm setting up a tent, regular visitors come into the site without permission, and I'm crossing my path, and I'm like, 'Huh? ' It was like, the view is amazing

You cannot enter the auto campsite from the parking lot unless you make a reservation in advance and have a usage permit. Check in 13:00, out 11:00. Reception is at Shirakawaso. There is a restaurant, hot springs, and shop, but they only have a small amount of food and firewood, so be sure to prepare in advance. 🏕2023.9 As a beginner, I dared to try during a quiet period to make my debut as a solo camper, but there was no one around on the day, so I went completely solo!I was alone, playing music and enjoying myself to my heart's content. As mentioned in the reviews of other seniors, the sanitary building with toilets and water facilities felt far away from the nearest site. There is almost no shade from the trees and the temperature is not low even during the day in summer, so this is something to consider. It seems that there is no need to worry about wild animals 🐻 or harmful birds 🐦, but be sure to take precautions against insects!(Honestly, I was scared when I woke up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night to suddenly go completely solo for my solo camp debut! 🙀) I want to go to day camp next time.
