I used it for outdoor classes and for personal use. It was in operation before the camping boom. Despite being close to the city, the environment is close to a plateau, so I've used it several times. However, compared to Shizu Campsite (Yamagata Prefecture) and Nikaho Kogen Campground (Nikaho City, Akita Prefecture), the usage fee is higher (100 yen per adult day trip at Nikaho and free at Gassan). A few years ago, it was available for day trips. The use of cars is restricted at Shizu Campground in order to protect nature. It is a mountain of faith that our ancestors have continued to protect in order to prevent it from becoming like Midagahara of Gassan, so it would be a problem to put tourism first. I feel like we are going against the trend of the times to protect the natural environment. During an evacuation, only a few families choose to practice here in preparation for life outdoors.

A new auto site with power supply has been built, and it has been maintained in many ways, making it a wonderful campsite. It was different from a year ago.

I used it in mid-October 2023.After visiting Mt. Haguro, I was pleasantly hoping to be able to camp amidst the autumn leaves, but when I arrived at the campsite, I was pleasantly surprised! ️The campsite was full of heavy machinery, and people were saying things like ``Dododo❗️'' and ``Gagagagaga!'' ️” and going camping in the middle of a loud noise...When I looked at the website, I was really disappointed because at the bottom of the page it said that it was in a factory...Even though the price is about 5000 yen for 2 adults, there is nothing like this!! ️It's a noise that I don't want to use even for 1000 yen.It was quiet at night, but the people working on the construction work probably didn't go home either because they were busy with deadlines and worked at the office until around 8pm (the people working on the construction work were commissioned, so it wasn't too bad).I was very angry with the management of the vacation village. The next day, around 9:30 a.m., an engine-powered mower started mowing the grass right in front of the tent, and it felt like we were being harassed.I don't want to use it again.I would like a refund.

I used it empty-handed while camping. The air bed was hard and it was difficult to sleep. Other than that I was satisfied.

Free site useThe reception (Kyukamura staff) is very responsive and the kitchen and toilets are clean. The free site is located about 300m walk from the parking lot.The reservation information email said ``spacious lawn free site plan'', but it wasn't spacious at all.I had to pull the rear car up the hill at the end, albeit a little. It was a little tough to walk this several times after climbing Mt. Gassan. There was a spacious grassy space in front of the parking lot, but could we make this a free site?Isn't the positional relationship between the auto site and the free site strange?Or is it possible to make it possible to enter by car only when loading and unloading? The auto site is surrounded by man-made structures such as kitchens, restrooms, and ski resort lodges, making it impossible to enjoy the scenery. There is no sense of privacy as it is close to the neighbors.Usage fees are not cheap either

2023. Late JuneCampsite useFirst camping trip as a coupleEmpty-handed camping packI left from Kanto on Sunday and stayed for one night.Having used another vacation village before, I felt familiar with the vacation village. I'd like to try camping once, but I have no intention of getting camping equipment.I decided to go to another vacation village, even though it was a little far away because my plans didn't fit into the camping package.Sunday night. Surprisingly, only we and one other group at a remote site were using the campsite. You don't need to bring anything other than the amount of luggage you will need to stay at the hotel. I had some anxiety, though. From the parking lot, we loaded our belongings into a light aluminum wheelbarrow, walked up the gentle slope, and left firewood and charcoal in the tent. There is a permanent tarp over the table. The food will be delivered to you in thermal packs at the designated time. The person in charge told me that when I got home, they would take the trash to a designated area, but they would also clean up the charcoal embers. This is difficult so please help me.It was hot all day long, but right after I finished moving, it started to rain heavily, and when I looked at my phone, it looked like a linear precipitation zone. The first thing I did was take firewood, charcoal, and matches to a tent. Preparations began after more than an hour. They came to see it because they were concerned about the price.Another thing to worry about is insect control! I prepared a spray for all insects, used it with 2 sets of mosquito coils, and didn't use skin spray because I don't like it, so it was fine. .The toilet also has a flush. As expected, there were some insects, but I was relieved that there weren't that many to surprise me with. Since it's a campsite, the lights go out early, but the water and restrooms are well-lit, so I felt safe. You can take a bath in the hot spring in the main building. (separate charge(Time limited)I brought in Gassan bamboo shoots and cherries that I bought at a roadside station along the way. Extra meat, sake, snacks, and a few seasonings I bought at a supermarket in Tsuruoka. I bought a fire starter at a 100-yen store (useful for starting fires after heavy rain), a spare net, aluminum for pottery (one piece was torn and came in handy), and a few other things.I brought the inner sleeping bag with me because it felt nice to the touch, but the sleeping sleeping bag and air bed provided were both sturdy.I had a Potaden and some home appliances on board for sleeping in the car, but I only used the Potaden to boil water in the morning. If you don't eat a lot, I think it's enough to bring nothing. It was June, and there were already days when temperatures exceeded 30℃ in Kanto and Yamagata, but after that heavy rain, it was very cool and I was able to sleep soundly in the beautiful scent of the mountains. I felt really good in the morning too.

The campsite itself is average. It looks like a typical auto campsite.Fireflies are very beautiful.I made a reservation three weeks in advance, but the day before, there was a forecast of heavy rain on the Sea of Japan side.I had no choice but to cancel, but I was automatically charged a cancellation fee.It didn't seem to be written in the terms and conditions, but will there be a cancellation fee even if a typhoon comes?I no longer make advance reservations.

It's a very pleasant campsite, with Higurashi and Japanese warblers, dragonflies, and giant dragonflies flying around. Is there a stone pedestal where you can have an open fire at your auto camp? I was excited to see that there was one. I would love to have a bonfire when it gets cold. However, although it is a free site that makes it more difficult to carry luggage than an auto, I think this is better because it is more spacious. I felt that. However, be careful as some places may get muddy and muddy due to the rain from the previous day! ️I thought it would be cool in the mountains, but it actually felt quite hot. Stay hydrated. I would like to secure shade with a tarp. There are often sudden gusts of wind from the mountains. If the number of ropes is not reinforced enough, the tarp will collapse (lol)The road to the campsite is new and has become much easier to drive. The Shonai Plain visible from the new bridge was beautiful. I think you can park your car in advance and walk to view it from the sidewalk. If you use the day camp, your family of five will spend 3,000 yen. Was it this expensive? and. It started raining after 1 o'clock, so I left after using it for 4 hours. I feel like the cost performance has gotten worse.
