It's a very beautiful hotel.Takahata Station and the hot springs are connected within the building.Guests can receive hot spring bathing tickets. There is no elevator, so you will have to carry your suitcases etc. up the stairs to the second floor. The parking lot is "far".It was raining so it was difficult. We will stop once at the rotary in front of the hotel and leave our luggage inside the hotel before moving on.I couldn't see any cars from my hotel room, so I was honestly very nervous.Wi-Fi was also available.

Stayed here on August 21, 2024 while touring Tohoku by motorcycle. The room was very clean and had a train view, allowing us to see the conventional lines and the Yamagata Shinkansen from the room. The hot spring facility Taiyokan is accessed by passing through the ticket gate inside the station, but you can use it as many times as you like during your stay. I was given the flexibility to park my motorcycle in a place where there was no bicycle parking lot, which was very helpful.

The website says to contact the hotel in advance if you plan to arrive late at night.I called and asked to confirm.Me: “It looks like check-in will be around 1 a.m. on the day of my stay, is that okay?”Staff: “Huh? 1 o’clock? You can check in from 3 p.m.”Me: “Is it not possible to check in late?”Staff: “Don’t tell me it’s late.”Me: “What time is it possible?”Staff “23:00”Me: ``The homepage says that you should contact the hotel in advance if you plan to check in late at night, but is it not possible to check in late at night?''Staff: “No, I’ll be home by 11pm.”Me: “Then why is it written on the homepage? If they say no to contacting us, then there’s no point in contacting us, right? If that’s the case, please change the notation on the homepage as well.”Staff: “Yes, yes.”I replied, looking bothered. It was an older male staff member, but I guess he shouldn't be allowed to work in the customer service industry anymore. That's what I think.Don't force me to do that! I'm not saying that, but I did call to confirm, but the language and behavior is unbelievable for a hotel manager.I stopped staying overnight with immediate effect.Since it's a JR hotel, I thought it would be fine, but I'm disappointed... or rather, I'm more disappointed.

Good service and customer service. The location is easy to find as it's next to the station, but if you're concerned about the noise of trains, you won't be able to sleep before the last train.

Just like Taiyokan, thank you for your help _(._.)_As the name suggests, this is a homely business hotel. They read a picture book to my daughter, arranged the room according to the number of people and the configuration of the room, and were more than considerate and kind to everyone. I think you are giving it to me✨It's a shame that the Kappa Festival is no more...I want to eat that Kappamaki again (T^T)

If you use it as a business hotel, you won't have any complaints. There is also a bath facility attached to the station. A restaurant (breakfast venue) that turns into a yakiniku restaurant at night. The price is reasonable and breakfast is included (the portion is huge).WiFi can also be used normally. There is no convenience store nearby, so I have to walk to the other side of the tracks to get to Family Mart. I need to make a break for my health.Actually, the unit bath in the room is larger than a normal business hotel, so I'm satisfied with using it.You can see the Yamagata Shinkansen from the railroad track side, and it's a very distinctive hotel. In that sense, it may be possible to use it for sightseeing (as long as you don't have too high expectations).
