A guesthouse with a great atmosphere... more like a hot spring inn. That's how it all turned out, and although I only stayed for one night, it had such a great atmosphere that I would love to come back and stay there again if possible. The quality of the hot springs and the atmosphere of the open-air baths are nothing to complain about. It's a bit difficult to get to, but I feel like that's part of the atmosphere.

We enjoyed a lush inn located a little outside of Hijiori Onsen town, a relaxing open-air bath while listening to the murmuring of the river and the cries of frogs, and a delicious meal filled with wild vegetables.

It feels like a hidden hot spring. The building is old and I can't say that every nook and cranny has been thoroughly cleaned, but I think 9,000 yen for one night with two meals and hot springs is a bargain these days, when a business hotel stay without meals costs more than 10,000 yen. There was a WiFi signal, and it wasn't crowded with people, so I had a really relaxing time.

``I want to take a relaxing bath 🙄,'' I thought, searching everywhere on the internet. I was curious about Hijiori Onsen, but what made me decide to stay was this photo of Kinseikan's open-air bath! When I arrived on the day, I found that it was far away from the hot spring town, so I personally felt a sense of freedom and relaxation! Living in a large inn in your 70s? It had a retro Showa feel to it, with a couple who seemed to be in charge of the whole thing, but it was enough for those of us who grew up in the Showa era! It was a weekday and the forecast was for heavy snow, but even though it was just the two of us, they kept the stove burning to make sure it wasn't cold in the hotel, which made us feel very warm. The indoor hot spring bath is around 38℃ and you can stay in it for a long time, and the open-air bath is suitable for summer. It has a nice atmosphere containing iron at 36℃ and 40℃ (I feel it)! What's more, we ended up taking a snow-viewing bath❣️ Even though it was a low price of 9,000 yen, it was a very luxurious meal (Japanese food) for those of us who usually live on a simple diet. It was a happy two-night, three-day hot spring treatment🍀

I took a bath 24 hours a day and the quality of the spring water was good. It's a little far from the center, but it's a good distance for a walk. I want to come and hang out again.

An inn that will make you feel like you are staying at an elderly couple's home. So to speak, a classic B&B in Japan? (lol)Although there are various critical reviews, it is necessary and sufficient as long as you use it in moderation, and it is also a background that impresses the goodness of hot springs. Hijiori Onsen itself is very difficult to access and gives you the feeling of being cured by a hidden hot spring, but this inn, which is far from the hot spring town, offers a different kind of calm.

Located on the outskirts of Hijiori Onsenkyo, this is a golden hot spring inn that opened along with a mine in the past.Other people's reviews say that the restaurant is run by an elderly couple, but currently, the landlady says, ``I'm the only one here.'' It seems that his son and grandson are helping out. There are no vending machines (although it seems like there used to be one), and the building itself is old and has deteriorated, so I can't say that the hygiene is good. There is no toilet in the room, and everything including the refrigerator is shared. There are few (almost none) restaurants and shops in the area, so if you are staying overnight without meals, it is essential to consider the inn's curfew (21:00) and shop before entering National Route 458 towards Hijiori. However, in my opinion, even with these negative points, the hot springs are highly rated, and if you are only looking for hot spring therapy, the surrounding environment makes it a very good place. The sodium and chloride spring that flows directly from the source has a ``golden color'' as the name suggests, and the source temperature is high. The public areas of the indoor and outdoor baths are at a comfortable temperature of 42 to 43 degrees, and the source area is piping hot, close to 50 degrees. Is the shower etc. old or a bit difficult to use (as the landlady also said)? The signal from my carrier's smartphone is poor, and there is no WiFi connection. In addition, due to the age of the building and the abundance of nature (meaning insects, etc.), it is a delicate line whether it will be comfortable for people who are looking for convenience and comfort, but you can experience the quality of the hot springs and the personality of the landlady. I think it's a good inn. Although it is far away, it is possible to go to the hot spring town of Hijiori, and there is also a day trip caldera hot spring facility nearby. This inn is recommended for those who want to be healed by hot springs.

The open-air bath was really nice. I didn't know where to park, and when I parked at a random spot, they asked me to pull over, so I hope they fix this.
