Sakuma House Miyakoya

I got a female single room but it was right next to the highway. No matter there were ppl talking at the entrance outside the house, entering the house (as room 101 is the first room besides the main door), you can hear them all! I thought it wasn't a matter at night but I was wrong! There were cars passing all over the night, it was so loud. And the wall of the house was soooo thin, which at midnight I heard my neighbor coughing. At 6 am, the next room kept talking. There was a room fragrance being put near the window, which all the blanket n bedsheet were with that smell. I was sensitive to fragrance.All these made me hardly sleep. And the next day morning, I had a booking on snorkelling. I felt lacking of strength swimming in the sea becuz of the sleep deprive. Then I decided to check out and looked for another place to stay. I couldn't imagine what I would be like if I kept staying there and being sleepless for 7 days.I phoned Expedia HK and hoped they could help me get a refund of the final 2-3 days if I check out on the second day (I bought 7 nights).I also told the manager abt the situation, he suggested that they could offer a change of room. But there are only 3-4 rooms in the house, and I knew there were two families with babies staying too. I didnt want to hear the babies cry at midnight. That’s why I didnt accept it. They refused to refund and ignored the follow-up fm Expedia.It’s also far away fm the city centre. There was an Aeon shopping centre in 5 min walk. But buses to the main streets are like only 5 a day. And ants are found on bed.... also the bathrooms are very old. Rmb, it’s real rural area. Imagine it.The Japanese manager was nice but the white staff was rude and thought of all means to protect the interest of the hotel but not the client.Overall, the hotel is toooo old which the wall structure and nasty bathroom that kinda things couldnt be changed. That’s why I left the hotel.With the price, you can get a Dormy Inn capsule in Tokyo. But much quieter and cleaner.

The room is very clean and the living room is large. It has 6 beds, so it's perfect for a family stay. The location is good as there are convenience stores and commercial facilities within a 10 minute walk. We will also use you again next time. thank you very much!

It's a private room of about 2.5 tatami mats with an air conditioner and a small TV, and is cheap at 3,300 yen including tax. Far from downtown and the beach. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants nearby. Beds, toilets, washrooms, shower rooms, washing machines, and cooking areas may not be suitable for people who like cleanliness, but if price is your top priority, it's fine. There are better guesthouses for 500 yen more. There is no door in the shower/changing area, so I don't recommend it for people who are concerned about being seen.

A vacation rental in Miyakojima that was not listed on booking.com. All rooms are private. Clean, cheap, and parking available. I wrote that I would like to use it alternately with ``Aitai Nagahama'' on Ikema Island, but the prices are gradually rising so I no longer use it. It's convenient because it's close to a shopping mall, but it's a shame.

Thanks to the rooftop BBQ facility and in-room kitchen equipment, we were able to enjoy meals without having to go downtown.Recommended for those who want to spend a reasonable time in Miyakojima.
