I had made a reservation for 2024, but it was canceled due to a sudden closure.

The phone call for reservations was terrible. I didn't know if there was a refrigerator in the room, so I just asked, but she said, ``If you're going to ask me something like that, please go elsewhere.'' I've stayed in many old guesthouses, but this was the first time someone said something like this to me, and I felt really bad. I didn't stay there, but I don't want to give it 1 star.

On March 31, 1988, I stayed there with my now deceased mother. I stayed there as a pre-booked ride before entering Boys' Technical School the next day. Of course it would be completely different from what it is now, but I thought it was an inn, not a hotel. It was a Japanese-style room with a futon. The toilet and bath were shared and it was a one-story building. The TV had a 100 yen insert, but for some reason I was able to watch it without having to insert it. I was playing Apocalypse Now. I was about to start school the next day, and since this story happened 40 years ago, I don't have any impressions of food or baths, but what I still remember is that the futon smelled of cigarettes and was painful. However, I was introduced to the school, and the price was cheaper than accommodations other than those provided by the Defense Agency Mutual Aid Association, and it was the closest and most convenient to the school. It's a place of memories for me. I didn't have a chance to stay there, but I would like to stay there again if I have the chance.

This was my first time staying here for my son's school event. It was close to the school on foot, the prices were reasonable, the food was delicious, and I was very satisfied. The room is also fully air conditioned and comfortable, which I am satisfied with.I think I will use them again.

I don't think any English-speaking guests would be staying here but I'll leave a review just in case. The rooms are upstairs and the stairs are very steep. The common bathroom (as in the bath tub/showers) is meant to be shared by all male guests. If you're a female, you're allowed to lock the door. My guess is most of their clients are guys on a fishing trip who want to economize. The other bathroom (as in the toilet)...there is only one and it's shared by everyone. That was a challenge for me - my brother and I stayed there to take care of our father, who was in a local hospital and this was the only place that was close enough. This accomodation is about a five minute walk from the nearest bus stop, Nagai. Navigating the bus system is a whole another beast. Oh, and there's a dog that lives right next door and he would bark all day from 5am to 11pm.The couple that own this place seem sweet so I don't want to say anything negative, but this really isn't a place to stay on a vacation.
