I was impressed by the ``separate'' breakfast venue. The furniture placed throughout the room was of good quality and comfortable. Breakfast was very delicious. …

From Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia : A Perfect Stay at Cotton Club CottageI had the most wonderful experience at Cotton Club Cottage during my recent stay in Takamori, Aso District. From the moment I arrived, I knew it would be special.First and foremost, communication was a breeze thanks to Shinya-san, the owner, who speaks impeccable English. This made my stay incredibly smooth and enjoyable. The room itself was spacious and incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect haven for a restful evening after a day of exploring.Location-wise, Cotton Club Cottage couldn't be better situated. With just a 5-minute drive to the Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine and easy access to both Mt. Aso and Takachiho Gorge within 50 minutes, it served as the perfect base for my adventures. One of the standout aspects of my stay was Shinya-san's thoughtfulness. He provided a comprehensive guide to nearby points of interest, eating spots, and convenience stores, ensuring that I never had to worry about where to go or what to eat.And the breakfast! Shinya-san surprised us with a delicious homemade chiffon cake that was an absolute delight to wake up to.Additionally, having a separate kitchen and dining area allowed us to prepare our own meals comfortably, adding to the homely atmosphere of the cottage.Overall, my experience at Cotton Club Cottage was superb. Shinya-san's warmth and kindness truly made it feel like a home away from home. If you're visiting Takamori, Aso District, I highly recommend considering Cotton Club Cottage. You won't regret it—I guarantee it.

People can enjoy the great pure countryside and relax.• The room is a wooden house which is big and clean, the host just renew the laboratory and shower room.•There is a shared kitchen, people can buying stuff from a supermarket which is close and cook by yourself.• The host’s English is good, no problem on communication.Overall it’s a great place to stay and enjoy a relaxing vacation. People may plan their next visit after checkout 😃

I stayed at Shin’s place in Oct. It started to get cold at night and early morning. The place was clean and comfortable. His mom shared with us very nice chiffon cakes she baked. The persimmons from his garden were very delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality. They were several places to visit within an hour drive. We spent a good evening at the lunar observatory for the star gazing. Mt Aso is worth a visit. We walked along beautiful Takachiho trial. The overall stay and visit was amazing. We would love to come back again in the future.

Extremely happy with my stay at Cotton Club this summer vacation. The cottage I stayed at was quite spacious, and the owner family was very friendly and accommodating. It was also really nice having the kitchen/common room to spend some time to rest and prepare a meal after a day of walking around the surrounding area. The location was also quite close to Kumanoza-jinja shrine and the Tourist Information Centre, making it easy to check out the surrounding accommodations. I definitely want to come back here in the future with my family, as I very much enjoyed my stay; the time I spent here in Takamori was definitely a high-light of my trip. Thank you again for the excellent hospitality! - Brendan E.

This is my third time as a repeat customer. Once again, I was able to spend a comfortable time in a quiet environment surrounded by forests. It is recommended not only for families with children, but also for people who want to work alone as the Wi-Fi speed is fast.

Nice place with friendly owner that speaks English pretty well. Clean, comfy and perfect base for Takamori! 20 minutes (by walking) to the very calm and peaceful Kamishikimi Kumano-imasu Shrine.I went there during the low season and Shinya, the owner, was available and open to listening to my needs. Thanks for the recommendationsI would definitely stay here again. ありがとうございます
