It feels more like a designer's house with wood as the theme rather than a cottage.The interior is clean and has a calm, modern atmosphere.The front window is large and has a good view. You can spend a relaxing time in a quiet environment.There is also a parking lot.

The yurt is beautiful! What a treat to wake up with the big windows and see the mountains! If you like woodwork, admire the carpentry.
It’s a bit tricky to find if you arrive at night but the host greeted us and showed us the exact location.

a tranquil environment in the world heritage town of Nikko.the interior has an amazing scent from the wood used in the construction of the cabin.the cabin is well designed with a great view towards the nature and surrounding mountains.recommended for people who are looking for an unique accommodation in Nikko!

The landlady is very enthusiastic and friendly! As soon as you arrive in Nikko, you can feel the friendly local customs and customs! When you enter the house, you can smell the strong fragrance of cypress wood. The furniture inside is also full of various design ingenuity. Not only does it look very beautiful, but you can also feel the relaxing feeling brought by the wood material when you rest inside! The neighborhood is very quiet at night, so you can have a very good sleep quality! Highly recommend staying here!

The yurt is a one-of-a-kind stay in Nikko!It is architecturally designed and the level of detail is impeccable. As you enter the cottage, you are greeted by the scent of the wood that the building is crafted from.The yurt is thoughtfully appointed and has plenty of room available for two to four people. The natural materials and vast windows gives a constant sense of connection to nature which makes it so peaceful. We were able to watch the snow fall while sipping a hot tea. The yurt had everything we needed for a short stay including a kitchen, fridge and washing machine.It is a 10 minute walk from Tobu Nikko station and another 25 minute walk to the temple area of Nikko.The owner is so kind hearted and a very accommodating host. She gave us great local recommendations for Nikko and kept in contact with us throughout our entire stay to make sure all our questions were answered. The check in process was very smooth.Nikko is a beautiful city however staying at The Yurt was the highlight of our visit. We would love to visit again one day.Thank you Kumiko🙏

It’s newly built with tradition+modern Japanese design. Easy to access with key code. There’s a parking area in the front. The cottage is fully furnished including kitchen. Washing machine, microwave, fridge, kitchenware are available. I like the entrance made of wood. Said it was designed and built by a famous artist who lives in Nikko. The atmosphere of the house is calm, I felt relaxed and really enjoyed mountain view from huge wood table. (^^) Recommend!
