It is not for everyone, especially people who can only do luxury travel, because the place is old. I didn’t experience the bad smell some other reviewers mentioned. It just looks old and maybe the person is imagining. The owner provided pickup from the port , which makes up for the condition of the room, especially for the low price point. It is about 1-1.5 hour walk from port to here by walking. The location is ideal for visiting Yurigahama , especially if you have access to a car like me. I booked two nights, but only stayed one night because of unexpected rain storm and needing to go back to Tokyo early for business. The owner only charged me for one day and refused to accept payment for second night. Extremely honest. It is because the honor is not greedy nor business driven, that is why the low price and being able to keep the place affordable for budget travelers (and not investing in luxury remodel). I would definitely stay again if I am solo traveling or with friends who are open minded about backpack traveling. At this price point, I still prefer this guesthouse over a new hostel because you have your own room / privacy and sink, and don’t have to interact with other guests. Anyways, if your goal is to visit yurigahama beach phantom island, stay a night and catch the ferry the next day, but don’t have access to a rental car, this is the most economical and logistically best option. Be aware that after sunset there are no restaurants open on the island outside of the downtown area 1 hour walk away. Buy cup noodles or something from the grocery store next door just in case

I made a non-cancellable 2 night reservation through a hotel booking site.On the day of our stay, access to Yoron Island was canceled due to bad weather, so we were unable to go to Yoron.When I called Myojoso, I received a very nice reply that I could cancel for free.Although I was nervous, I was very grateful for the kind response that understood my feelings.I would definitely like to plan a trip to Yoron Island again.Thank you for this time.

I think it's a guesthouse with a long history. In the hallway, there are many messages received from past students on school trips, which shows that this guesthouse has been loved by many people.It is true that some parts are showing their age, but this does not affect the stay in any way.The air conditioner works well, and you can enjoy the idyllic Yoron Island with views of the ocean and sugar cane fields from your room. It's also good that there is a supermarket within 30 seconds walk.I was happy that the owner cared about me too. Thank you very much for picking us up from the airport.
