6000 yen per person per night. There are 3 buildings, each of which can be rented out.The bathroom is in a separate building and is quite large.Meals are not included, but there is a building with a kitchen and dining area, so you can cook for yourself if you buy the ingredients. There is a rice cooker, toaster, microwave, stove, etc., and you can freely enjoy seasonings, coffee, and tea.You can also ask the owner to drive you to the restaurant. It’s a great value and I recommend it✨

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here with Mei-San.The individual cottages are authentic, very private and comfortable. Located on the road to shiratani unsuikyo with the bus stop only a short walk away.As others mention, the private onsen bath is a highlight after a long walk and a must. The highlight truely though is Mei-san’s hospitality. As two English-speakers with limited Japanese she made us feel like family and went beyond in helping organise dinners and transport with wonderful recommendations.Wish we could have stayed longer!

The owner is incredibly kind and friendly. She offers rides to and from the town in the evening for dinner and will prepare a private onsen bath if you request it instead of a regular shower. The rooms are large, clean and comfy. All standard amenities are provided. Beds are traditional futons and are super comfy.A big communal kitchen is provided with free coffee and tea. We were the only guests on the property so it was basically a private kitchen :)Amazing stay:)

If you want a place to stay while in Yakushima look no further. Mei could teach a master class in hosting. Friendly, accommodating, and amazingly helpful. The rooms are gorgeous, the property is so beautiful you'll forget you're only 5 minutes out of town. The location is easy to get to, close to the trailhead, lots of parking. No in room wifi but cell service and free wifi in the well stocked communal kitchen. The rooms are lovely cottages with a private bathroom. The bedding was super comfy. The private onsen bath house is an amazing experience and the host will fill the tub for you at your request if you give her a time to have it ready. We came back from a day of adventuring and had a bath filled and waiting for us to soak away our troubles. The best part of the stay is the host Mei-san, she really takes a 5 star stay and makes it 6 stars. I would recommend this to anyone from solo travel, couples or families. You will love staying here and I will definitely return. Arigato Mei-San.

I went there through a friend's introduction. In fact, the person who has been very helpful to me at work is the owner, and I once again realized how strange it is that we have such a connection. The location is excellent, there are many good shops in Miyanoura, and I really felt that just 3 days was not enough time. Also, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the owner's wife. Thank you for leaving early in the morning and returning late at night, for greeting me with a smile every time I went out or came back, and for greeting me each time.

What a treasure of a place. May was a generous, kind and super helpful host. Cottages are super spacious and clean, location is perfect - close to town and the Shiratani Unsuikyo Ravine trailhead - and the best part are the BATHS. Super luxurious, like your own private onsen. No cell service but Wifi available in the communal kitchen. 10/10 would recommend.
